Game won't run well
So I started playing the Sims 3 again because Sims 4 isn't cutting it for me. It is so much fun but i can't help but notice the lag. I know Lag in the Sims 3 is inevitable, but I wanted to ask if there are any recommended graphics settings or mods? I have an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT and a 12th gen intel core i5. I use AMD Software: Adrenaline edition. Any tips or suggestions would be really helpful, really want to play the game with as little lag as possible!
(Also, my gpu has already been detected so it's not that)

There are various ways to reduce lag, and others can probably advise you better than I on what to use. But have you tried this?

Lagging was a major headache on my previously laptop, and I'd have probably given up on TS3 if the Smooth Patch hadn't come along.

I can also recommend Nraas Error Trap and Nraas Overwatch which will help clean up your game and improve performance.

Also, if you are unfamiliar with installing mods, this will help: https://modthesims.info/wiki.php?ti...Setup_and_Files

Legend is history as we would like it to be. We pick through the dusts of time for what is worth keeping and, here and there, we occasionally find treasure.

It's also essential that you make your game recognize your GPU, which you can do with THIS TOOL (video tutorial to know how to use it). You may need to delete the DeviceConfig.log and Options.ini files in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 AFTER running the program, so the game generates new files using the correct information.

Another important thing to do is to limit your game's framerate. You can do it with the Nvidia Control Panel (or AMD equivalent) by forcing V-sync. That's pretty much it.

Don't forget once you've done all this to max out your graphics settings. The game actually runs better the more high level of detail lots that there are pre-rendered, and your GPU should be more than capable of handling it. If the game lags, it won't be due to your GPU or graphic settings.
