I'm currently playing Elaine joy from Riverview. She met Don Lothario, and of course he swept her off her feet. She soon found out she was pregnant, Don wanted nothing to do with any of that. (He got a different gf right after Elaine started showing, and knocked that girl up too) Elaine had the comfort and support of her father, but it wasn't enough. She wanted a family. She ended up meeting Hal Breckenridge, and he was really sweet to her, despite having almost the exact same traits as Don. Soon enough, Elaine gave birth to a little girl(whose name escapes me right now lol) Elaine continued climbing up the culinary career, with babysitting help from grandpa. After a few dates, Elaine FINALLY convinced Hal to go steady and move in with her. Looking forward to what the future holds for this family

I never knew how to upload image attachments here and just learned so here's to no more horrible potato pics from using a third party image host.
This world > Sainte Helene by ann sims
Anyway...I made a few edits and did some cleaning to make this world a little more playable since most of the lots were shells at first, mainly with Monte Vista additions including gorgeous lighting. The world is really pretty and I recommend it if you're feeling the French aspect but Champ is too big for you (but this world is suuuuuper tiny). Hopefully I can play it for more than 10 mins and actually post pics of gameplay.

Don and Elaine's daughter, Athena had her birthday. She looks IDENTICAL to her dad (which is a good thing IMO) Shes artistic, so of course right after she grows up she heads to the easel. She also rolled wants to learn painting and writing skills. She's really close with her grandpa, it's cute. His life bar is full, and I'm really dreading him dying, Norman is a sim I've grown quite fond of. (doesn't happen very often) I've been trying to find a lady friend to hang out with before he goes, but no luck. I think the man is just happy gardening, fishing and hanging out with his family. Also, they threw a "feast" party, and I had Elaine make soup and pumpkin pie, I didn't realize how much food other people would bring, but holyyy molyyy, they're gonna have leftovers for awhile lol.

I started a new file in another attempt to do each LTW in a legacy. I loaded up Sunset Valley and Totally Annihilated the population because there are WAY too many Sims in that town. I moved a custom Bella and Mortimer into the Goth mansion, each equipped with the first two LTWs on the list. Bella wishes to be an Alchemy Artisan and Mortimer wants to become a Creature/Robot Cross Breeder. I had the lifespan on long but once Bella actually achieved her goal, I figured out you can't give them a new LTW after one has already been completed. Now I'm back on a regular lifespan so I can start getting the next gen ready. Despite the fact that she ate nothing but watermelon through her whole pregnancy, Bella had a baby boy, woops. I named him Castiel and thanks to awesomemod, he is Stupid and Eccentric. Bella and Morty both wanted a girl so hopefully their babies just end up being genderbent Cassandra and Alexander. Gonna try to get Bella's next baby to be born on the full moon since I have that mod that makes full moon babies occult. Excited to see what happens!

I have been playing this family for several days now and I thought I should share. The household consist of twin brothers, Jamie and Joey. Jamie is a neat Sim that hates fun and children. His aspiration is to become VD of a mega company. He went down the business career... and seduced his boss to get a promotion. Yes. He did that. To be fair it was the boss that sent the first love letter. They were both work alcoholics so I guess it was a match made in... heaven? Either way he just fulfilled his LTW. I didn't know he only need to reach level 8? I was sure it would be level 10. But I guess I could continue down that path because he did roll a want to reach lvl 10 now.
Also. He go a midlife crisis and got himself a mustache. That he hated. Uh win?
His brother Joey is a hopeless romantic with the charisma/music LTW. He's also a hunk having worked out in the gym a lot. However... his brother actually managed to hook up before him. He did seem a bit distraught at that. It took until adulthood before he found someone (they started as YA). He went down the entertainment/rockstar path. So his skill in guitar is pretty high. His charisma less so. Because apparantly you need friend to extend it. Who would have thought? Also his brother seem to be more popular because he gets all the party invites. In hindsight I probably could have accepted an offer to enter the athletic career as it's not required. Was offered a highed job position but declined.
I kinda like Joey better.
They live in Twinbrook in one of those funny houses with fazies. I have extended and refurbished the house. I probably should consider moving them out of there soon. Joey actually rolled a mid-life crisis want to move. But I didn't know if they could afford another place at the time.
Also they seem to have gotten a goblin living in their front yard. He hasn't left since winter.
Oh! And they both got their exams from the military school.

I was about to write a lengthy essay on the current state of my game when I realized a small collection of (semi-) made up Star Trek quotes will suffice perfectly.

At this point, Bella and Mortimer's kids are adults. Their second child did end up being a girl, and she was born on the full moon but her occult status ended up being a ghost. I love that mod but it's honestly super creepy when the babies end up as ghosts, it's like they were born dead. x_x I named her Alexandria of course. Mortimer finally managed to catch a deathfish right before he died so I made ambrosia and she's human now. Castiel has been married 3 times so far, one when he was a young adult to their old butler just because Bella wanted him to get married. The butler died 2 days later after eating a jelly bean. Then he got married once again to an old highschool friend as a backup for heirs while I was trying (and failing) to get him abducted by aliens. I got fed up and had Alexandria learn Alchemy in two days so she could make a youth potion and use it on the only alien Castiel knew since all the female aliens were elders at this point. Castiel got -100 relationship with his wife the same night they got married because I got curious about whether or not my gun mod worked on pets. It does. So as soon as his alien friend was a young adult again, he divorced his wife and I kicked her out, renaming her to Jody Dogshooter. Now Castiel has an alien wife and she's pregnant with the grandchild Bella wanted so much.
Edit: Update, Castiel got abducted and now he and his wife are pregnant. X_X

Took some anger out on an older house I made.
Complete with roaches, weather exposure, trash, broken plumbing, filth and an exceptionally low price.

That house is so well done, OrennaKhali.

This is my expression trying to manage a family of 9....7 kids, and their parents. (She's the mom, by the way...)
I don't use cheats. I do make things a bit easier feeding the nine of them by replenishing their 2 tables with buyable food (burgers, pastries) so they can just go in the kitchen and grab one of these whenever hungry. The parents don't have a lot of time or energy to cook real meals. They are still (as elders) trying to get their band up and working.
Like I said, I have 2 tables for them. One normal one, one picnic style table. In the USA, a lot of people with large families seem to use benches with tables instead of individual chairs.
The quads just transitioned to kids, so I was able to get rid of all the floor mats and potties and high chairs!
I've also pretty much given up taking photos with the walls up...just no time to capture it all.
Here's how we manage bathroom time for 9 people.
1. Parents have a toilet room and separate shower room off their bedroom. Also in their bedroom is a fancy sink. Anyone can use any of these items.
2. Main bathroom has 2 stalls (like in public bathrooms) so 2 kids can go at the same time. There are 2 separate shower rooms (one has a full bath, the other has a shower). In between the stall room and the "bathing rooms" are two sinks.
Photos with walls down..sorry...
Not particularly interesting unless you like to know how people play their game.

And just as gen 3 begins, I think I'm gonna have to abandon this save. Everything's glitching out. I've started working on a brand new TS3 file and man is the game so much faster without 5GB of CC. I'm gonna try to be very picky when it comes to CC from now on. I have so much garbage on my old save that I never used and have no way of tracking down to delete. But just so you guys know, Alien Wife had twins the same night Castiel had his alien baby. Maybe it was a sign a needed to get out of there lol

Something weird happened today, when I played the household in Bridgeport. My newborn baby somehow became friends with Matthew Hamming, even though they never even met, he was never in our house and actually no one in this household even knows him. But still the baby's relationship with Matthew is better than with her own parents :D

My sims had 16 kids and I just ended up creating an outdoor bathroom with privacy off mod, kind of like campsite bathrooms. lol.

One of my most repetitive tasks in creating BRIDGEPORT'88 is going through the game's clothing items, cloning some of them, and scaling them up until they look right. I'm now at a point where certain jackets, for example, come in 3 sizes (e.g. oversized, very oversized and extremely oversized) just to create sufficient diversity in my Sims' wardrobe. In the next episode, one of my protagonists wears a blazer that went through NINE iterations where I gradually made it bigger each time.....and it's still too small.

How's the jacket too small? Don't they match the Sim?

Well the issue isn't that I have to turn normal-sized 2010s clothing......
.....into normal-sized 1980s clothing......
.....it's that, for effect, I'll need to overdo it somewhat.
And it just so happens that I'm not going for a fashion catalog look, I'm going for a "my mom's old yearbook" look. And that means I'll need a bunch of blazers, for example, that make you look like you're called Heather.
Seriously though, so many of these blazers. All shaped more or less like.....that. You guys have no idea how much effort it takes me to make my Sims look that bad. Sorry, not bad - comfortable. I would never buy a regular-sized blazer, knowing I could go thrifting and pick up something with pockets big enough to rob an IKEA and enough extra room to turn it into a portable bed for two plus room for a TV to watch Netflix on.
And it's not just the blazers either, it's the dresses, the shirts, the suits and the hair. Don't get me started on the hair.

Anyone else get flashbacks to high school, secondary school and university looking at those real life pix? We went BIG in the '80s...

Flashbacks are good. If people your age see my episodes and go "hey, I remember that!", I've done a good job. When that familiarity turns into something inherently humourous, that's even better. In a sort of
"oh my god that's so accurate / I totally forgot about that / That was totally me / I had one of thosetoo / Yeah I never understood that either" sort of way, that is.
I showed my dad some pictures of some of the things I've been working on and he got unusually excited over it. He's not a very excitable person overall, but he was very receptive to my stuff.

Your post about jackets had made me spend 3 hours looking at fashion trends. Noticed the whole '80s revival thing.

Yeah that's a thing isn't it? I've noticed it too. The clothing store I worked at for a few weeks a while back (didn't get fired prematurely; just a temp job) sells jackets much like that, along with mom jeans and 80s-90s grunge tees. And not just as a fringe thing either, there were at least two dozen different colors and prints of jacket. Looked like my grandma's wardrobe in some places.
Speaking of wardrobes, the local department store says the middle-aged woman's formal look of today is Joan Collins circa Dynasty. Yeah, I'm not buying it either.
One thing I've also grown to appreciate is those denim jackets with the thick fur collars. That's pretty retro too, and when paired with more denim (like the aforementioned mom jeans) you get a wonderfully tasteless outfit.
A couple of weeks later I'm working somewhere else, and a chick comes in wearing the most hideous, worn out, oversized mom jeans with some sort of Native American contraption for a belt, and a raggedy biker jacket with these massive, awkward shoulders. The whole thing kind of had a vaguely post-apocalyptic look to it. Like I said, it takes effort to look that bad. I haven't been able to pull anything like it off, and with a bit of effort my Sims won't be able to pull any of it off, either.
As for retro spectacles, I'm still a bit torn between the Jeffrey Dahmer model and the Harry Potter-style sunglasses.
One thing I know for certain, though, is that I'm very glad that skinny suits are passé now. Skinny jeans I don't mind, but I can't stand skinny suits.

Nothing exciting. Average sim family stuff. Though I have come to realize that my sim's best friend has some strange sleeping habits. Every time I invite her to sleep over she always gets up 1-4 times throughout the night, runs either to the other side of the room or outside (even in the pouring rain..), then gets back in bed... sleeps for a while.. gets back up.. cycle repeats until its morning and she goes home or finds something else to do.
