Default Some jobs not available in future?
I have sims that want to be a doctor, a scientist, a criminal, and a CEO. None of these jobs seem to exist any more when I sent them to the future, even though there was a hospital and a lab (the thieves den and the business office weren't there at all). Am I missing them? Should I reconfigure my sims to better place them?

I also heard there was a way to make that my starting world instead of having to start from a different one. How do I do that?

Oh, I know this one. There are two obstacles to making the careers work in the future. The lack of rabbitholes is one of them (a career isn't enabled unless there is a corresponding rabbithole), but for some reason EA also decided to disable the careers in the future (quite pointless; the lack of rabbitholes should have been sufficient). But they can be enabled again with some changes to the Careers XML, and one modder – Gurra09 – has already put together a mod for that, here.

Is this about simolians? In the future, if you need simolians, just grab all the jet packs, orb computers, and hover boards you can find and sell them. Apparently, Bernie Sanders won and they're all socialist in the future and anyone can take anything that isn't nailed down and make it their own.

If that isn't enough... while at the home base enter buy mode and clean the place out.

I'll try that mod. So I have to edit the town to add the rabbit holes?

And nah this isn't about simoleons--they have the life wishes.

Wow. That is so great. I'm in awe! Thanks! These things just don't occur to me.

As far as I know it should, but I think Ambitions careers are already enabled in the future. Only ones I tried were the investigator and firemen though.

No, professions are disabled more strictly in Oasis Landing. Enabling professions isn't as easy as enabling rabbit hole careers. In some ways, it's probably just by enabling the ITUN interactions, but in some professions, the jobs just won't be spawned in Oasis Landing. More things need to be tweaked in the XML.

Yeah i tried the Architect career and it does'nt let me finish any job in 3 days of work (the bug when the sims says "i can't live in this house bla, bla, etc.)
Also the same thing happens in Nyaia's Oasis Landing that i tried some time ago.
