A night at Sunset Valley

First, sadly, Nadia died. Death came and took her but then he would not leave - he started going around the house, cleaning dishes, making beds, etc., until I got tired of the joke and just reset him. An hour or so after I finally managed to get everybody to bed a burglar appeared; alarm went off and a female cop arrived but got beaten. I instructed Gloria to attack the burglar (after all, she did master martial skills) but she decided she'd rather chat with the cop. Then David (97 days old) suddenly jumped on him and beat him to smithereens. The burglar, wisely, took refuge in the police car, the cop followed and they left. Then, of course, I had to get everybody to bed once more. It was already early morning.

I began with a household, a young adult ghost and her teen sister witch, and I kinda made myself a mini challenge and backstory where the YA ghost sister (death by haunting curse) was cursed and her witch sister is working to bring her back alive (Level 10 wand magic skill-- reanimation curse + sunlight charm afterwards). She has also had to pass school and make money along the way (because I've made it a rule that the ghost can only work from home, and sculpting doesn't bring in much revenue right away) I also made the younger sister have dreams and aspirations because who doesn't, so she also had to put her architectural designer dream on hold and take a job as a police officer to have a more steady income and work hours, once she became a young adult. (I also made a rule against having the younger sister use magic in public to keep her witchy identity hidden ) I feel like I thought up too much backstory for my little sim household, but it keeps it interesting

It's kinda funny now though, because the younger sister is no longer the younger sister, so it's been 'imagined' years since the ghost has been human (theoretically) and she's near the top of level 9 (I think?) Oh! And the younger-turned older sister is a coward, so sometimes when she sees her sister she just faints, heheh..

They also have a cat now.

One of my quickest edits! I feel like I've finally perfected this caw thing, at least my successful version of it. The townies are spawning, all the routing works, no unroutable pop ups, people are going to school and their jobs on time, the tavern lot in the middle is packed with rabbithole rugs so the world actually has things going on, the world is sort of empty but its for the best, clean and simple with a unified theme (a port village?? fishing... new Englandy... wtv) with townies with specific personalities and stories that fit the theme. It's actually decent and I'm actually playing it! I kept at it in caw, knowing what my pitfalls were from my previous 800 world edits, fixing things beforehand instead of trying to immediately jump in and so for the most part it is complete.

So anyway, here's Cloud Port. I'm not sure how exciting it looks to anyone on the outside but I definitely had this small, peaceful almost lonely, colder, coastal village theme I was going for. Can't name a place on Earth which is like this but I know it exists somewhere in the northern U.S. and I can see it in my head. :D

Had to reinstall my game so here i am starting all over agian.

I'm probably doing the most screwed up thing I ever done in Sims. My sims wife angered me so I locked her in a room to die. Turns out she was pregnant and was not dying. Read some where that the game does not kill pregnant sims. Currently using the nraas mod to continually pollinate her to see how long I can keep her alive. She's now on her third pregnancy since she's been locked in that room.

On the other note while wifey is suffering my Sim Bimble (actually game named future SIm I seriously pity this sim he's also pastey white and lacking in looks) is out searching for seeds now that it's winter agian. Crops where horrible this year because i was so busy being a klepto in order to build up the kitchen. Won't have to worry about feeding the wife but eventually toddlers get off bottles.

Disclaimer: I am just being a goof ball, please ignore me if offended.

I've been slowly filling up the empty world of Saint Greer Islands with my own lots and today I just added this roller skating rink /hot air balloon lot. Trying to add more parks with a lot of fun items for my simmies to use in my game

I can't really decide, either. He's HOT either way. But I think I liked the scruff a tiny bit better.

I kinda like both (I know, sooooo helpful ) but the scruff works.

I'm suffering from a cold my small evil one brought home from school (boo), but I'm semi-conscious enough to sim; well, okay, to decorate. I snagged the Riverboat (Belle Bateau de Liberte) and am in the process of turning it into a floating casino, minus the resort part. I forgot to take pics. I'll take some tomorrow if I'm feeling better.

Well, my sim self finally WooHooed with Erik in bed. (Their first tryst was in a wet leaf pile....ew.) All the while, the repairman who has a crush on me fixed the sink. He was heartbroken it wasn't him with me.

A short update, yes, but I have errands to run today. I have to drop off the items from Amazon that were improperly packed or do not work for my region. If something exciting happens to me, I will tell you in Off Topic, but otherwise, this is what I played through.

Heh. My Simming career isn't in its late teens yet, but I'm definitely getting there with SimCity. My love of The Sims started sometime in 2006, when I saw TS2 (and particularly, the new Open for Business) at a friends house and even got to mess around with it a little. Wasn't sure as to the specifics of it but when TS1 was on sale for a tenner not even a week later I immediately had my mom buy it for me. Cue 2 years of not hanging out with friends after school anymore, and then some shoddy torrent of TS2 which barely worked on our low-midrange HP system. At this point TS3 was coming out and I saw it played, again, having only come out the day before, and being somewhat of an expert on The Sims now I certainly knew how to form an opinion on it. Fascinating, but illogical (I actually played the character of Spock in another lifetime) and the Build/Buy Mode with the little 3D house was silly. Also the color options, while amazing, were quite overwhelming.

So cue Octoberish of 2010 and I decide to get TS3 anyway. I've got homework to skip out on on this point and trust me, TS3 was cutting it. You wouldn't believe the amount of homework I didn't do at this point. Only thing that's missing is the expansions. So I wait until they're on sale and then get the lot in one go, installing one new pack a day to make things more exciting. This goes on for a couple of years and then, hey, TS4. I NEED THAT THANK YOU. So I make myself get it on the day it comes out, make my way home like the guy in one of those "my parents aren't home" memes, pop the disc into the old PC, and watch all my hopes and dreams die as I realize this game is a pile of actual garbage. But that's a story for another day.

As for my current status on The Sims: I'm currently telling myself I'm this close to finishing off my important video work in TS3, while I'm actually neck-deep into the Anno 1800 beta with so much footage of me playing it lying around that I doubt I'll ever be able to edit down and publish even half of it. On the plus side, I've allowed TS4 to keep residence on my gaming SSD and though we're currently not talking, I can't stay mad at it forever.

I am finally feeling better, yay! But I'm having an issue in the game where clicking on the misc deco makes it crash, so that, to my old mind, means too much deco. So going thru and moving what I really don't use in this game into a separate folder.

Working on that riverboat I downloaded from here to make into a casino, I actually got a bouncer and I'm so excited.

As for history of simming - When TS1 came out, I had a Mac. Wasn't able to play. My ex husband bought a PC for his CFS3 game, and I got TS1 complete for that as my compensation. When we moved and bought another, bigger PC (me thinks this was in 2008? 2009? Sometime after the kiddo was born), I was up north and TS2 was on sale for $10. I snagged that and bought the rest of the stuff packs and played that for years. I tried TS3 at a friend's house and it was way too strange for me (or so I thought hurhur). Ended up going completely over a couple of years ago, when I noticed they had horses. Since I have a horse IRL, I figured putting him in the game would be hilarious (and it is). So, we are talking nigh on 18 years with The Sims here on my part. Feckin' scary, I think. I haven't touched TS4 yet, as I'm seeing pretty much a lot of issues with it that I'm not willing to deal with, plus - no horses. (heh)

I took a different approach to creating a small Tuscan world since I love atmosphere of Monte Vista so much. Decided to bite the bullet and just shrink to my best ability! Here's Little Monte Vista, resized the starters, Al Fresco Market Venue and that No Worries Pub, and added a tiny soccer field!

Well, it was raining unusually longer in autumn in my game and well, simself and Erik's simself became boyfriend and girlfriend, then fiancé and fianceé and shortly husband and wife. They automatically WooHooed in bed afterwards.

Still, it's kinda cute to see them cuddle afterwards.

Erik also tended to the garden.

Unfortunately not atm
I only did the lots, trees, and changed the terrain, its someone else's caw files annnnddd
I did not keep track of the cc I used plus I've JUST gotten the hang of caw do's and don'ts (my routing used to ALWAYS be bad),
hopefully this world doesn't have any hiccups but that's no guarantee.

I may do something with it in the future, take out the random cc and leave just store content and such after testing it,.. the original creator of the world seems to be M.I.A. so it should be fine.
Thank you though!

So, with simself and Erik's simself pretty much in their underwear during their honeymoon, Erik continues to use his Flirty trait to keep my simself from getting angry. Erik invited a repeat offender in multiversal runners, a young man named Jude Lizowski from Pertsch-McGillis Canada (that's denoting its from a creative duo known as Pertsch-McGillis, it's not a grammatical error for a town) He's on the run from a video game villain who is holding his old friends captive. Erik may have only played a cop on TV and volunteered in Idaho's police reserve, but my simself is armed with a multifunction gun and can commandeer time machines, transporters and even vessels not unlike the TARDIS. She's as deadly as she is cute.

(This is the story I write as I play along. I have only seen a couple of episodes of "Rick and Morty", one of which was the Pickle Rick episode where Rick turned himself into a pickle to avoid family therapy, so the multiversal concept is no longer foreign. I play games like Super Smash Brothers, Kingdom Hearts and watched Lilo and Stitch: The Series, which had crossed The Proud Family, American Dragon: Jake Long and Kim Possible in separate episodes. In any case, crossover stories are something I'm no stranger to.)

Edit 2/8/2019

The garden is beginning to die off, so Erik has been disposing of the plants and the chipmunk in the rodent habitat ran back to the wild. Erik and Kymchee are still in that honeymoon phase where they can't seem to keep their hands off each other. Jude is currently caring for the tuxedo kitten Dumpling when Kymchee is off at her freelancer job of multiversal protection.

When I last left off, Erik and Kymchee were spooning in bed and one of the dream bubbles above Erik's head had a mini Grim Reaper...Well, he's heading up on 70. Most people starting at 50 start having nightmares of their demise.

I finally caved and let Jude sleep in the walk in closet. The walk in is just a small bedroom with bright lighting and a vanity dresser (an item that halves the need of two separate items, but makes it easy to get your Sims dressed, styled and made up.

However, Kymchee will investigate who was it that took Jude's friends. The prime suspects are: Dr. Robotnik (aka Dr. Eggman), Dr. Neo Cortex, Dr. Wily and Ansem (part of the imagination I have is it runs away without me.)

14:30
As Jude is helping to make sure Dumpling is cared for, I gave him a Windcarver. He was commissioned to look for Rocks, Metals and Gems. On his way to Stoney Falls, he passed by an unidentified wizard or witch (could only see the business end of the broom) and on his way home in the autumn downpour, he saw Bella Bachelor on her bicycle. Why would a child that young be out at 6:30pm in the miserable downpours autumn offers to Sunset Valley?

I had Bridgeport looking like that for a while. I think it was a mistake that had it looking like that for me, but a mistake I didn't immediately want to rectify. It had its moments but overall I definitely prefer the stylized, warm, slightly washed out color palette I have now. Unrealistic as hell but so pretty....

@MeowMixPls I feel like that would be great in a more sinister world. The shadows really set the tone.

As for me, I made these 3 friends start a restaurant/snack bar together (the bar is by pancake).

But it got a little too popular :P

I decided against it after all, I feel like when I'm playing that everything is too hectic and I can't make head or tails of it. How I miss the sims 2 system of open for business.

Also! I've been experimenting with different uses for non-cc furniture, to make it go further in creating different styles. Very happy with how my Asian-inspired interiors are turning out.
