Black screen in particular is usually indicative of a dying graphics card. Please post your system specs: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?tit...:System%20Specs

Yes, Calli's guess was right - your processor, RAM, and graphics chip are all far too weak to be playing TS3; especially on Vista. It also looks like this is a laptop, in which case it could also be overheating.

To be honest, given how underpowered that system is, I doubt you're going to be able to do much about it - nevertheless, you can try the tips here; although bear in mind that even if they work, it will be temporary and your computer probably won't last long if you keep trying to play TS3: Game Help:Onboard Graphicswiki.

To play TS3, your computer would need to meet or exceed these requirements: Game Help:TS3 System Requirementswiki.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

Sadly, it's a desktop. ...or a boat anchor... that's about all it's worth.

*sigh* Well, time to save up to get a better system. Thank you guys, I appreciate the help. :^D
