Default Sims 3's future uncertain?
I just saw this blurb from London Metropolitan Magazine posted on Infinite Sims:

For some reason Infinite Sims took this to mean EA might terminate TS3's production, which the blurb doesn't really say. And in any case, I think that article is a load of shit. Looks like they took some typical boasting about product placement and injected dramaz into it.

Well. Terminating it isn't a bad idea. Especially since TS2 is a continuous game, unlike TS1. After reading that we won't be able to make our own hoods I got so pissed that EA could just have terminated the whole thing!
But who knows........

Man, it must be terribly flawed if they terminate it after 4 years of development or so. I need the seamless neighbourhood, maybe they could make it into a Sim2 EP.

With so much things already done, I doubt they'll terminate the project with only 1 year left before the release. Like crocobaura said, they've spend a LONG time & money with it already.

Happy April Fools everyone! It's pretty obvious that's it's a joke. I mean come on, EA is so rich. I'm sure The Sims 3 is expensive to make but I'm sure it's nothing EA can't handle. Otherwise the spin offs and stuff packs would have never existed.

Oh, and not to mention they're now saying on Infinite Sims that it's a joke. :P

This would be a hard one to fall for. They couldn't possibly scrap the Sims 3 after four years in production.

Now Google's April Fools jokes are always amazing.

oh THAT'S why it's all about the silver monkey crap over there. I never put two and two together, since it's not really an april fool's joke. I thought it was just a stupid inside joke, and now I realise...Well, the "stupid" part remains true, but at least it makes a bit more sense now.

I remember years ago when Sims Online was blossoming and very popular- as a April fools joke- EA gave all the sims in the game a monkey face. It reverted the next day- but look at the MTS2 monkeys makes me think of that April Fools joke they had.

Yeah, I remember when they released Gmail on April Fool's Day one year and everyone thought it was a joke, but...they were for real! That confused me :P

^ From my understanding, they said they would only probably later release tools for creating your own neighborhood. "Probably later" could mean anything... Not that having only one neighborhood bothers me so much, but I'm sure that's what she meant.

They said that they might add it which means that it does not have to happen. I think they are being mean. They all know how much we love custom hoods.
