This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default SIms 2 lags even after I update al my drives and boost my ram and such
As I do machinimas. I have 35k cc. My friend gave me his desktop. But when I try to do sis (loads sooooooo long for this pc) But I found out this desktop only holds all together 6gb ram(gross) and 500 HDD(not pleasing at all) and I do those realistic sims machinimas (i go by mrsimsfanatic)

So i updated every single driver for this pc, boosted the ram and etc etc. cleared every caches and temp files. still very laggy and slowmotion cheat above 3 is very choppy or skippy.

But......i tested the waters and moved my downloads out, and what shocked me the slowmotion on 4 to 6 is a lot smoother but still semi skippy and choppy but not that bad but fairly noticeable. So Im assuming my desktop my friend gave me isnt sims 2 friendly? I attached my DX DIag below if anyone can see if I can solve this issue or not. OH and my config log too
Attached files:
File Type: txt  DxDiag -MrSimsFanatic.txt (56.7 KB, 6 downloads)
File Type: txt  COREY-config-log.txt (10.1 KB, 4 downloads)

It might be the presence of Securom on the system - if you have Win10 it does not play nicely for some people and lagginess is a symptom. There is a fix though - have a look here:

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.
I'm here on tumblr and my site, tflc

6Gb of ram is good for Sims 2 for it only uses 2Gb reg. and up to 4 Gb with a modded .exe.

I'm not entirely sure, but it might be the processor (CPU) speed that's too low. M&G requires 1.8 GhZ (2,4 with Vista, probably also with the newer OS versions), and if I'm reading the log correctly, yours is 1.5 GhZ. That would explain some of the slowness (Not sure if the Dxdiag shows graphics card only, though - in that case I'm not sure what speed the game requires).

TS2 can only use one processor/CPU core, so if you have two cores with 1,5 GhZ, that's still just 1,5 GhZ for that one core the game uses.

It may also be the graphic card you have. It can apparently run games like Sims 3 on the lowest settings, meaning it's probably not a very good card for TS2 on the highest settings. https://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-R...10.70634.0.html

Well heres a good question.

Whats a proper laptop to run sims 2 on all igh graphics resolution for machinima making and using sowmotion from 0-8? Highest budget I can go to is 1k. cuz the laptop i wanted is 4 grand(classic msi brand for you)

I just need good cpu, good ram and graphics and such.
