Default I need some help
(I'm never sure if I'm posting in the right discussion thing or not, but meh, sorry) I figured I'd ask here because the sims forum wasn't any help.

I had this old computer that I used to play TS3, Ambitions, Generations and Pets on. It worked but obviously it lagged, crashed and froze a lot because it was only about 2 gbs of RAM or so. So after I got fed up with that, I bought a few computer, it has 4 gbs of RAM (which should have at least upped the performance a little), a better graphics card and stuff like that. But the performance is exactly the same, if not worse.

I added a bunch of new EPs (the main reason why I bought this thing) like Island Paradise, Late Night, Seasons, Uni Life, Supernatural and two Stuff Packs. I realize that obviously that would slow my performance down.

But I've been playing the game lately and the loading times are so long. I literally timed it and it took over 30-45 minutes to load. 25 if it's a small world. Even that CAS worlds take about 20 minutes, when they should take 1 minute. So, the first thing I did obviously was remove all of my CC and packages, the loading/saving time only went down by a few minutes. Removed everything, all the EPs, no luck. Still took about 30 minutes.

So I've had people tell me on the sims forum that "HPs aren't even for gaming", "your RAM isn't enough", stuff like that. Which is stupid, because both my brother and my friend have HP laptops with RAM that is less than mine and both of their games work 10 times better than mine do. Loading and performance, which, if I haven't mentioned, sucks as well. And some people have been downright unhelpful, telling me to just "deal with it."

I have tried clearing my cache, razer game booster, deleting my CC, 4gb patch, I even went into the .ini thing and changed the memoryusagelimit to 3, which made it even worse

I'm not asking for 1 minute loading times or three, I'm asking for at least ten?

I'm so glad that Sims 4 is (did) come out soon, I've spent more time trying to fix TS3 than I did actually playing it.

I have no idea. You have a more powerful CPU, a more powerful GPU (i think), more RAM, plenty of free hard drive space. It should atleast run as well as on your brother's PC.

Maybe run a virus scan? Which anti-virus do you have installed?

I'm pretty sure I have McAffee installed, but I think it expired (I was using the trial since it came with my computer)
