Default Modern Shower Tub (Found)
I'm looking for a modern-looking shower tub, similar to the Maxis AquaPlus Shower Stall, but a little more modern and better looking. I'm not interested in anything like the tubs with shower curtains that draw around, as I always thought those things look like something out of a 1920's Victorian era flop house.
What I'm looking for should be a two-tile shower tub that would fit into the same space as the Maxis AquaPlus Shower Stall. Shower doors would be perfect, but curtains is also OK, as long as they are not the kind that draw all the way around the tub (there are many of those available).
Also, ideally I could use a bathroom set with some recolors so I can use it for various houses, as long as it includes the above-mentioned two-tile shower tub.

There frankly isn't much available here at MTS. Here is a good example of what I'm looking for, but unfortunately this creator does not allow her stuff to be included in uploads.
TSR has 100 pages of tubs and showers, and I've started making my way through those, but that will obviously take a while, so I thought maybe someone knew of a good set somewhere.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for those links.
The first one, the Torrox Set, is the only one that's kind of what I want. The style isn't really what I'm looking for, though, and it also requires another mesh for it to work and I generally don't like downloading meshes of objects I don't really want just to get something else to work.

I made my way through all 100 pages of showers and tubs, over at TSR, and there were only two or three that I would consider - this one, which is a new mesh and is really nice and has a couple of recolors, followed by this one, which is a recolor of Maxis' AquaPlus showertub, and finally maybe this one, which is also a recolor.
I haven't downloaded any of them yet, so I have yet to see how they look.

The first one I linked to in my OP. It is exactly what I'm looking for, but the creator does not allow it to be included in uploads. Since making houses for upload is my main activity in the game, any objects that aren't allowed to be included in uploads will not make it into my game.
The second one is just a two-square shower. I need a showertub, to be able to bathe dogs, ie, the object has to be both a shower and tub (on two squares).

Hey Rob .. if you wanted to do a shower in the house, you could use MaryLou's dogbath outside or in a garage area. Her bath allows for only dog bathing, no simmies :D

I keep hoping someone will convert the Sims 3 shower bath with glass surrounds. It's odd how nearly all shower baths are curtains when in real life many use glass. Perhaps try asking over on the GOS wishing tree.

Just so happens I downloaded a dogbath from TSR yesterday. I'll edit this post tomorrow and link to it, as right now TSR is undergoing maintenance (Edit: Here). They're obviously useful, but besides the point of what I need.

The reason I want a two-tile showertub is because it allows three functions:
1) Sims can shower
2) Sims can bathe
3) Dogs can bathe
Being able to do these three functions with a single two-tile object is an incredible advantage when building certain houses, like starters, apartments, moderns, etc. Having a separate tub and shower simply isn't doable many times when I build, because it means having to make the bathroom considerably larger, which simply isn't an option sometimes.

I'm a stickler for realism, so while many of these objects, like the dog baths, serve their purpose at times, oftentimes they just don't fit into the overall design of a house. For example, without a garage, the dogbath really only looks good outside the house - except for wintertime. Who would wash their dog outside in the winter?

Anyway, I appreciate the feedback. I didn't get around yet to checking out those three potential objects I mentioned uptopic, probably tomorrow.

Linky?
And what's a GOS wishing tree?

It's occurred to me that with a showertub with glass doors, the doors would interfere with the dog bathing animations. The dog would be jumping through the glass to get into the tub and the animation of the Sim washing the dog would probably also interfere with the shower doors. Frankly, that wouldn't bother me, but it might be one reason why almost no one has made a showertub with glass doors.

Understood, which is why I said outside or in a garage area

Was just an idea if ya wanted to have it smaller in the house to move the dog bath outside or into a garage/ shed area. Suggestions are the starting point of some good ideas :D

If you really wanted to use that shower by eris3000 you could just remove it from the lot after you've taken the pics for your upload and then link to it in your upload post as cc needed but not included.

Well, I tested eris3000's Chrome showertub, linked-to in the above posts, and it turns out it does not give Sims the option to bathe dogs after all. This kind of reinforces my theory that the reason there aren't many showertubs with sliding glass doors is because they would interfere with the dog washing animations. Just a theory, but it makes sense, imo.
So much for that.

All the other showertub possibilities, also linked-to above, for some reason will not work in my game. There is no indication that they require any other meshes, so that's not the issue.
I've spent enough time and effort on this, so I will just use the Maxis AquaPlus showertub, or some other recolor of it.

Thanks again for all the replies and suggestions.

If it doesn't let you bathe dogs then it probably needs to be updated for Pets.

The water wiggler is like the hose/sprinkler out the back.

What's there to clean up after bathing a dog in a bathtub, other than rinsing it out the same way as after a person used it?
I would guess most dog owners in the US probably bathe their dogs in indoor bathtubs, except perhaps dogs on farms. Reason being is that I would guess most dogs kept as pets are mostly indoor dogs.
Seriously, with freezing wintertime temperatures, I would find it somewhat cruel to bathe a dog outdoors, especially considering it would be with very cold water. My guess is that people who normally bathe their dogs outdoors probably don't bathe them at all in the wintertime.

Rob, have you ever bathed a dog? ... lol

Realism ... a toy poodle would actually be easier bathed in a sink or small counter basin, whereas a saint bernard would be easier bathed either in a tub, if you are really good, or in a large ground basin. I have bathed both large and small dogs, as well as cats, and the size of the mess to clean up afterwards is relative to the size of the pet bein bathed. Dogs, in particular, shake when they get wet. Big dog = big shake = giant mess; they don't care who or what they get either ... lol.

I currently have a larger sized dog (he's a saint bernard/ boxer mix) I have given him a few bathes and he does NOT like them. He doesn't like water so he tries to get out whenever he think's I'm not payin close enough attention. The water puddles all over afterwards, now that is just water mess. The other half of clean up depends on the breed only in this case it's whether they have long fur or short, is it course or fine. What and how much of that is left in the tub upon bath completion. :D

As for bathin indoors or out, well not all places in the US are snowy and cold in the winter. I live in southern California we do get cold, (ok no laughin you northerners), but the only way to see snow is to go a few hours away into the mountains. I would and have bathed my dog outdoors in the winter. I just do it in the hotest part of the day so he has the rest of the day to dry. Oh, and he's not an indoor dog. He's allowed to come in sometimes, but he's to big to be indoors all the time.

Sims have it soooo much better and easier than real life ... lol :p

No, but I've watched a couple of times. My friend has her dog trained to only shake when she's holding the towel up, toward the end of the bath. The dog isn't overly big, a terrier-schnauzer mix of some kind.

I bet the no shake took awhile to master .. lol

Here's my Moose, he's not quiet a year old. I am fortunate that in fur he took after his boxer side instead of the saint bernard one.

Well, we don't use the hose in the winter, but we do bath her outside still. Just with buckets and warm water. Then she goes batshit crazy running round the back lawn, gets toweled dry and comes back inside. XD

Hose should be useful, thanks. Also the tip about the Water Wiggler.

And because everyone else is posting pictures of their dog. XD

We sometimes bathe dogs in a bathtub, but only if it's really cold outside because they do indeed make an unholy mess, mostly because all but two of the pack of 8 are large and a couple of them have longer hair. Mostly, though, we use a kiddie pool to bathe them. The one we have is fairly large and deeper than a standard bathtub, so it works well. The kiddie pool gets used, outside, summer or winter, although they usually only get bathed in winter if they get excessively dirty/stinky, which really only happens if snow melts and things get muddy. They'll also just get hosed off on occasion. And if it's really hot (which doesn't happen often where I live), they like to just lounge in the pool, too, like they think they're tigers or something. (Alas, I have no doggie pictures on this computer. )

@Charity
I don't think that hose is functional, though. Wish it was. Or that there was a dog-bathing kiddie pool.

When my dog was alive we had a 'station' down the road, it was a place to clean your own car, and also they had an area set aside to clean your dog, with a proper dog tub where you just opened the side the dog walked in, the water could be the right temp, and you had a mixture of doggy soaps you could choose with a detachable shower head to rinse, it was fantastic!! Before that was opened, we took her to a doggy wash place, she was a Golden Retriever with alot of hair that would shed everywhere in the bath, plus being the breed she was she was madness in itself and would jump round in the bath getting water all over the bathroom! Like I said, so much hassle to clean up afterward, much easier to get the groomer or take her down to the other place!
