Default 100th day
I like the bonus when I reached 100th day with the same family.

So did you reach 100th day with the same family as well?

What was the 100h day bonus? I can't find anything on it.

A pop-up appeared that said something along the lines of: "You've been playing this family for 100 days! Wow, you must really like this game! Since you like it so much, we thought you might like to know more about the people who made it..." And then it went on to explain that a little button with a question mark on it would start appearing in the upper right hand corner of the screen, which you could press to find out that day's factoid about the development process. For instance, one day's factoid might give the name of one of the developer's, describe some of the work she did, and explain that her wedding picture is one of the pictures that the sims paint on the easel. If you didn't want to read the day's tidbit, you just ignored the button and in awhile it went away.

I don't remember all the factoids, but I think there were maybe 30 of them before you started cycling through again.

It would have been cool if that was in TS2, but I guess that makes it one of the things that makes TS1 so special u wu

Awesome! Sort of like finding a easter egg, like you do with other games.

SPOILER ALERT! This page shows all the messages you get after playing for 100 days.

I personally never have played for that long, because sooner or later I'd get bored of that family, create a new one, kick the old one out, and plop the new one in. Or I'd just leave them to the guinea pig...

I had no idea of this until this site made Sims 1 discussion area.

But yeah when I was a child and really played this game, I would never get that far. Maybe 40 days max. Including the days on vacations and in studio town. Saying the word studio town I really hope that the music gets stuck on somebody else's head too. Happy holidays y'all ;P

But recently I was determined to get one of my bean stalks to grow tall enough to visit will wright I had to play the same family 98 days. So I thought I could kill two flies at the same time.

it's kind of cute, i was surprised that the wedding painting Sims can make is actually one of the game maker's real wedding picture.

It's been a few years since I played The Sims 1 since my computer has Windows 7 and it's one of those ones that is stubborn enough to not let it install.

Anyways, I did reach the 100-day thing quite a few times with multiple families in different neighborhoods and computers. I even remember this one family (well, a single adult guy) who I somehow made it pretty close to 200-days with. The messages were pretty quirky and it was something that made the game even more special to the player.
