Default How would I make over premades before playing them?
I would really like to start playing Strangetown, but before I start I would like to makeover some of the sims in bodyshop (I have simblender and the shop at home wardrobe but I find the in-game interface limiting). So is there any way to do this outside the game? Of course, I don't want to replace the original sims - I want them to keep their relationships, mermoires etc.I just want to change their appearance.
I've tried Google but I just can't seem to get anything useful. Thank you
(If you would like this moved to the help section, let me know. I had a look but it didn't seem to be for this type of question)

I for one do not know of any other way than in game to do it that would save you time for each one would have to be open in SimPE and then you will need to figure out whats what then make changes then look in game again and this is very time consuming. It would take you weeks of work.

Doing it all in game you can have it done in just one day.

There is a paid program that you can do it with but I have forgotten what it was called.

I just remember what it was called and you get to try it for 48 hours and if you like it you can buy the unlock code. TS2 Enhancer http://sims2programs.com/download/index.asp

I don't think it would work for what you want to do.

There is a mod by Christian Love, called Gussy Up, which allows you to do everything from new clothes to plastic surgery simply by clicking on a sim. It was never updated for Seasons, so it doesn't do outerwear, and may be a little difficult to track down as Christian Love has left the community, but a query in WCIF should get you results if no one comes along here to tell you how to find it.

If all you want to do is change their clothes, that can be done with the testingcheats.

A great deal can also be done with default replacements.

I would just use Closet Gussy Up. It's in his archive. http://www.mediafire.com/download/i...ack+Archive.zip

Three posts and no one suggesting Theo's alternative surgery? I'm surprised!

Theo's alternative surgery is a plugin for SimPE, where you do exactly what you said. Create a Sim-template in Bodyshop, and replace the appearance of the Sim in your hood with the appearance of the template. It's very easy to use, so you don't need to be experienced with SimPE to do it. There are tutorials out there telling you step by step how it's done too

You can get it from MATY, click here to read more and download. You will need SimPE too, naturally

Gussy-up that the others suggested works too, I just thought I'd mention this method since I can see why you'd prefer doing it in Bodyshop and then paste it over to the Sims. Now you have options

I think Theo's work is underrated.
