This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Persistent Lag Issues
So, as the title states, I've been having what I understand to be common lagging issues with the sims 2 Ultimate Collection. The game lags every time I switch sims and any time i go to a different category or page in build or buy mode. I've tried clearing out the cache files and deleting Securom but it doesn't do any good. I also tried downloading one of the "no cd game fixes" that are supposed to prevent Securom from reinstalling, but none will download onto my computer. I've turned on vsync, and I don't have any cc or mods that could be causing this. I'm at my wit's end and don't know what else to do to fix my game. Any help is appreciated.

UC has the new Securom that does not screws up your computer and does not cause lag.

What we need to know is you computers spec including what video you have either onboard chip or a video card.

That's not actually true. I have the UC and Windows 10 and my game was lagging like crazy, especially in buy/build mode, until I removed Securom.

OP: The game .exe re-installs Securom when you run it. Check out this thread on leefish: http://www.leefish.nl/mybb/showthread.php?tid=6688.

Well I had UC installed on my W10 machine and had no problems at all.

Just had to pop in and say thanks to the OP for posting this and neriana's link to that information. I recently got back into simming on my Win10 laptop with the UC, and had noticed the lag. Uninstalling SecuROM and running the no-CD crack worked like a charm. I ran into a dead link in the guide, but the SecuROM removal tool at https://support.securom.com/removaltool.html is a simple executable, no command prompt required. There were 2 things left in my registry according to the tool, but they appeared to be informational only.

@dovahkiinishere8 did you immediately install the no-CD after removing SecuROM? Also make sure you are using a shortcut that points to the no-CD.

Default Solution for problem ?... (The sims 2 ultimate collection)
In this Leefish topic, a non-cd file is not available for dowload, for the game to run, could anyone provide me with this link?
I need these references, because some non-cd files may contain malware or not work properly.
I have the sims 2 ultimate collection, and I'm having a fps drop, after trying all sorts of solutions ( using for example the CFF Explorer, graphics rules maker..) I believe this is the solution to my problem, and my pc has more than enough specifications Play the game without these lags and "delay".

I'm not sure what you're looking for, there is a valid link on the second page of that thread, although you should follow the advice given in post #9 of that topic, it's much safer to go to the source on a well known and reliable source, rather than look for some reuploaded files being passed around.
Also you should maybe ask over there to comply with this site's rules here.

It's the Securom removal tool you need I think for the buy/build lag problem.

I don't believe it causes FPS issues but I could be wrong. In fact as you say your computer has "more than enough specs" that might be the issue in itself. TS2 is a very old game in gaming terms. Newer computers confuse it. You might want to force it to use one core of a multi-core CPU for example.

I use the sims as a psychology simulator...

"More than enough specifications" is quite vague. If your game lags all over, you may have problems elsewhere, not just with Securom.
