This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3
Default TS3 Problem
I'm having a problem trying to run my game. Every time I insert the disk into my computer, it pops up with a screen displaying:
"Disc Authentication Failure
!
No game disc found! Please insert The Sims 3 game disc before proceeding."

I am having the same problem this person is having that was posted in the archives but no one has responded to it as of yet. I purchased the game from EA games site and called them concerning this problem but they were of no help. Now, I am out 70.00 bucks and left hanging with no support tech and you would think the creators of this game along with the huge amount of monies they have made would have better support system for their product. Could some one please help me with this problem I am having...miss playing the game and getting involved.

Does the disc work in other DVD drives?
Do other DVDs work in your DVD drive?
Do you have any disc emulation software, such as Alcohol 120% or DAEMON Tools installed?

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

Other disc work fine in both of my drives. The installation went fine and as far as "emulation software" the only thing on my system is "CyberLink Power2Go" I use for my video work I do. Could this be an issue?

If you have Nero installed, uninstall it, then install your game, then try reinstalling Nero. A lot of people are having problems with that. It's not just emulation software, it's sometimes programs used for general burning.

Another forum for you to try that has solved a lot of these issues

I have Nero installed and have never had a lick of trouble with Sims 2 or Sim 3. But I don't have Nero Image drive enabled. Roxio, Daemon tools, and Clone CD are the most common suspects.

The only issue would be if services and processes are actually running at the time. If you have a software conflict, this msconfig trick should take care of it: http://modthesims2.com/showpost.php...45&postcount=21
