Playing again after several years...Sims 4 General Help
Hi all, I was a crazy addict to Sims 2, but didn't really get into Sims 3. Now, I am starting to play Sims 4, and I need real basic help. Where are the Prima Guides, LOL???? I downloaded the vampires and I don't even know what they eat. There is no plasma fruit in the fridge. When they have you download these packs, do they not come with instructions? I have been looking all over. I'll get into the downloads later...right now just basic game play help is needed.
And why are the towns so small? I can't find worlds to download that have room for 100 lots. I like a really big neighbor hood.
And no patterns? Bummer....ok, taking a deep breath and trying to be patient.
Thanks for any beginners help you can point me to!

There is no official instructions for packs, but there is in-game tutorials for packs which you can turn on or off.

You cannot download other worlds, you are stuck what maxis gives you, EPs, and the couple of the GPs gives you an extra world, if you need more room.

No Patterns or Colorwheel in TS4, most items have recolours which are called Swatches.

A really good website for game play is http://www.carls-sims-4-guide.com/. They have a wonderful community and are very friendly. If you like to play with custom content, there are some really fun mods out there to enhance your game play. In addition to MTS here, especially http://modthesims.info/m/4590936, two of my faves are http://littlemssam.de/ and http://brittpinkiesims.wixsite.com/...egory/Game-Mods. I have played with their mods and they work fine in my game.
I would also recommend https://deaderpoolmc.tumblr.com/doc/mccommandcenter , as well as http://luniversims.com/files/file/7...-tray-importer/.

I know that a lot of folks hated on Sims 3, but I really enjoy playing it as much as 2 and 4 - but 4 really has some things you need to get used to, and you will be well aware of what you wish the game had.

Thanks so much for the links...and I will make sure the tutorial is on. If I keep playing, I will have hundreds of downloads, I'm already drooling for some of the Sims, but have only been downloading from the exchange. I found things at Liana Sims and Parsimonious (still have lots of bookmarks!). Thanks again, I'm kinda excited!
