Default Looking for Creator Rose of RoseSims2
Hey there fellow Simmers. Does anyone know where I can find RoseSims, from RoseSims2.net... the new site does not belong to her and most likely is a new domain with the same name. I'm trying to find Rose because I wanted to ask her if a Sims 2 hair mesh could be converted and ported over to The Elder Scrolls Morrowind for a mod on the Nexus. I'm asking not for myself but for a modder named SatoriLotus
who contacted me earlier, If anyone knows where she can be found please let us know, if she has another site, Twitter, Tumblr, or if you can find her please leave a link below. Thanks! If not it's understandable.

I'd also like to know if any of her work such as hair meshes and accessories can still be downloaded online since her Sims 2 site is no longer available.

I'm fairly sure Rose has stopped creating, because I haven't seen any new from them in several years (2011 seems to be the latest). I've got no idea about her ToU/Policy now, since her site is gone, but the old site and her ToU back then can be seen with the wayback machine.

Most donation/pay downloads can be found at the booty.
Most of the rest is probably up at the Graveyard: http://sims2graveyard.com/index.php...y/1887-rosesims

Hmm..ok bummer, alright thank you for the info and the links. She had given some permission to modders on the nexus back in 2014 though maybe they asked her years ago: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/m...d%3D37420&pUp=1 it's such a shame someone with so much talent no longer creates for sims games anymore. Her policy required permission for conversions I believe though she was usually ok with it once asked.

@Simdrew, I believe you are allowed to use creations from sites that are dead without getting permission, since it is impossible to obtain permission if the creator is gone. You still can give her credit and offer to remove if she returns and objects.

Justpetro, those are just the MTS rules about abandoned CC - nexus may have different rules, and the creator themself may hold themself to a higher standard than MTS would.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

Interesting, Thanks for the information Justpetro and Nysha. I'm afraid Nexus is a little more strict when it comes to custom content compared to MTS so they may not be so open to the idea, they tend to ban users if they don't hear permission was granted, possibly even if it isn't an option. I was asking for someone else though not myself.. the help is appreciated and very informative.

Quick question, so if I were to say that I have a hair mesh which I do, abandoned CC that no longer exists online from Raonsims at all which is no longer available anywhere except for the Booty because the site is gone, as well as the creator, could I include my recolor of the hair with the sims and link to the hair mesh on booty with my Sim upload or include the hair mesh with my download, I know a few years ago this may have been ok, this was a while back though just want to make sure. You see I have a Legend of Zelda Link Sim that's long overdue for upload. I'd like to become a regular on the site again, always loved MTS and it's community.

Several creators (myself included) have edited/reuploaded or otherwise used stuff from Rosesims within their own creations, and I'm thinking that as long as credit is given where credit is due, using stuff from a creator seemingly long gone isn't such a bad thing.

If you do end up using some items of theirs, and if you upload it or otherwise show it off in a "look what I made" fashion, giving them credit for the mesh/texture (or whatever else was used) would be a good thing to do.

If the creator is still active and fairly easy to reach, asking them before using any of theirs in an upload is polite (unless their ToU/policy is "use whtaever you want without asking"). Even then, crediting them and respecting their uploading policy is polite.

I've several times come across creators who have used/converted items I've spent hours on, and they don't even put in the slightest bit of credit. I'm usually fairly forgiving, but if they upload whatever it is, the very least they can do is say who made the original, right? I may not always ask for permission when converting something I purely intend to use in my own game (I probably wouldn't do anything else than asking), but if I upload or otherwise share some of it, I at the very least credit the original creator, and if need be also ask them if it's okay.

Absolutely! Couldn't agree more! It's important for me to always credit another for their hard work.
