Mod - Buy Personality Points for Simoleons
You only get 25 personality points when creating a sim, but the optimum personality needs more like 27 or 30. You can cheat to get the others, using something like the Sim Enhancer program (which you can get right here at ModTheSims at https://modthesims.info/showthread....020#post5828020), but I thought it would be more fun to do it via gameplay.
Using the Personality Point Buyer, you can buy a personality point for §1000. Buy as many as you want, but they'll cost §1000 each. So, you can have the personality of your dreams ... just as soon as you earn enough simoleons. :-)
It looks like a blue vase , costs §3. and can be found in the Decorative - Sculpture section of the catalog.
You can get it at http://corylea.com/PersonalityPointBuyer.html.
I guess most players know these things:
Neatness points lower your chance of making puddles when showering and raise your chance of flushing the toilet after use. They lower your opinion of the room if the room has dirty objects in it. They also make you clean more effectively.
Outgoing points raise your need for social interaction, but at six or greater, they also let you build Charisma faster.
Active points greater than six let you build Body skill faster. High Active also lets your sims leap out of bed in the morning, rather than staggering around for the first few minutes.
Playful points are mixed. Low Playfulness lets you build Logic faster, but high Playfulness lets you build Creativity faster. High playfulness also makes your sim respond positively to jokes and tickling.
Niceness points affect responses to compliments and hugs.
So you can buy your way to whichever personality you wish ... at least for your sims. For ourselves, it takes therapy. :-)

Corylea,
You never stop amazing me with what you come up with for us Simmers! Thank you. I too think it's more fun to gain points through gameplay.

Hi, Corylea!!! Now that's interesting. You've a lot of options for modifying personality both in-game and with mods in every subsequent game. But not in Sims 1. I like how you make aesthetic and really in tone with the game mods; I like the detail of having to pay for personality points, since it doesn't make it too cheaty and you can create come up with some story in-game that justifies the change in personality. So this one will certainly become really handy, since you don't really have that much freedom with TS1!
Thanks a lot!!!
