Default NPC Apartment blackout workaround?
Is there a workaround to avoid the total blackout with the NPC apartment marker? I built this beach-side condo with 5 units for LN-style apartments, one of which will be for active sims. The other 4 will be NPC apartments. With the wall-to-wall windows facing the beach, it would look really weird for 4 of the units to be constantly blacked out. Is there any way around this?

Put in some walls...Decorate the appartments (and put in some lights for at night then it will look as if in use instead of a concrete box with windows... To make it easy for yourself -> place a closed curtain in one appartment...

You can make a 1 tile wide room by the window and not put any markers in it. It will then be counted as a part of the active families price, so don't make it any bigger than needed.

Don't use the apartment marker. Furnish the visible part of the NPC apartments. Lock the doors to those apartments so the active household doesn't use it. When the bills arrive, divide by 5 and credit 4/5 of the bill back to your family with money cheats. Good luck!

In addition to the advice's above you can also use the public room marker to the apartments you don't need to remove the cost of the bills.
