a patch after Makin' magic released
I wonder if EA released a new patch after Makin' magic released.

Those bugs are so annoying I reinstalled the game without Makin' Magic.

I found this site
http://www.simslice.com/freebies/ProgramsAndPatches.htm

It has stuff about the patches and that and it also has sims 1 downloads. I hope this helps

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

This website has great patches but ...

My problem with Makin' Magic EP is when the visitors leave home walking to the street but before they should disappear, they stay there, peeing themself and die of starving. This problem occurs playing after a while.

This sounds somewhat familiar, like either a missing pedestrian portal (you may have accidentally deleted it), bad custom content installed, or a bugged lot. Does it happen throughout the game or just at one lot only? If it's only one lot, I would check to see if the portals are still there first by going into build or buy mode with the "move_objects on" cheat and clicking around the edges of the property to look for it. If the portal is still there and it only happens sometimes, then try removing your custom content temporarily to see if that fixes the problem. If not, try playing at a different property and see if it happens there.

Addicted to The Sims since 2000.

This happened to me occasionally through my entire Sims 1 career. Deleting the visitor with move objects as soon as I noticed the problem always fixed it. If it happens constantly, that calls for troubleshooting.

Ugly is in the heart of the beholder.
