Default sleeves and pelvis just won't cooperate
I'm trying to create this shirt that's meant to look like a strawberry. instead of adding the green parts as just the texture, I actually made them 3D on the mesh. I have green parts lining the neck and the sleeves. the neck works perfectly fine, but the sleeves won't morph with the arms, and despite all of the seams lining up, they look separated in game. to top it off, the bottom of the shirt does not move with the pelvis despite the weights being there! I've been struggling with this top for MONTHS, and I really don't know what I could possibly be doing wrong.

please help.

I just now tried it, it works fine. it didn't post as a clickable link for some reason, you have to copy and paste it into your address bar.

Hi @Reitanna !

Just got into meshing myself for ts4, though is it maybe that the UVmap assigned to it is the wrong one? As in, the reference mesh you got it from if that one might be the issue or have you tried getting the uv and bone info from other meshes already?

From what I could get out of it when it comes to things not working perfectly on the texture, this could be because the UV_1 needs a few fixes. The green lining at the neck and shoulders seems to be a straight line and positioned at the face area rather than where the shoulder area, and a few vertices are left unwrapped so they're starting at the corner of the UV map because of it. This is easily fixable though! just a hassle but doable!

This tutorial should help with that: http://sims4studio.com/thread/5055/...s-help-tutorial
And: http://sims4studio.com/thread/2087/...template-images

The 'ShirtDolmanRuffleTie is a great reference on what to do with meshed ruffles So I would use that one as a reference or example so you see what actually has to go where. Or maybe a hoodie example if you need something that's really detached from the body mesh in the UV map (So not drawn on) like it is with your UV Map

Regarding the spine and arms issue... That's a really odd one tbh! The only thing I could get out of it was the fact that the RIG itself didn't have the same list order as a regular EA mesh. Maybe using the Rig of the ShirtDolmanRuffleTie I mentioned could fix that?

urg, I hate the UV_1. XD I'm having trouble with a skirt dealing with that too. anyway, thank you for your help, I will see what I can do about it. though, knowing me, I'm just going to fail. >_<
