Default The Sims 4 will release before March 2014
http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/05/0...oming-this-year

EA has said that 14 new games are releasing in the April 2013-March 2014 fiscal year, and the sims 4 was listed.

This would mean its releasing before March 2014.
Also, it said most of those are on console. So it would not surprise me that because of the recent success of more console EA titles (Dead Space 3, The Sims 3 Console), that The Sims 4 will release on consoles around that time too.

The Sims 1 Era: 2000 - 2010 (I think it was 2010 when they closed down the site.)
The Sims 2 Era: 2004 - 2013 (It was definitely 2013.)
The Sims 3 Era: 2009 - (Not shut down yet.)
The Sims 4 Era: 2014 - (Not even released.)

What are these dates for? What do they have to do with this thread?

Anyway, wow that is coming around quick... Very quick indeed.

I hope it will take a bit longer to be released. March 2014 is not even a year away, that's not enough time to create a good, fuctioning game. As we have seen with the EPs, it's never good when EA rushes things.

It does seem soon, but do remember they've already started creating it. We don't know how long they've been working on it for. But I'm guessing a while.

That will be in 2019, or 2020 then; considering it is about 5 years between games.

The other sims era's will not end for the simple fact that people are still playing them and the only they can end all together if the computers cannot not support or no one plays them anymore.

I read an article that they have been working on the sims 4 for over 5 years but I'm not completely sure....

I thought I'd heard somewhere that they started working on Sims 3 as soon as TS2 had been released; could be wrong about that though..
If that is the case, then they may have started working on TS4 as soon as TS3 was done with...

On a side note, found out through Twitts that Grant Rodiek ('member him?) has been working on Sims 4. He kinda disappeared early in the TS3's release - now we know where he's been, lol

I think it will be late 2014 as TS3 was late too.

To tell you the truth, with TS 3 bugs like this they should not hurry letting TS4 out.
