This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default How To Move Out Apartment Neighbors?
Is it possible to use the batbox (ffs debugger)? I have Cyjon's Random Apartment Neighbors mod I believe. I'm in a custom neighborhood and a custom apartment complex and everytime I move in, all of my neighbors are young adults. It's incredibly weird. I just want to know how I can reset or delete my neighbors so new ones can move in.

some methods that might be safer than deleting::
-make the townies playable then use a hack to make them unplayable. insimenator, sim manipulator, sim blender, teleporter cat.
-kill the townies. afterward may resurrect the characters.

for actual deleting, I think the More Awesome Than You site has several tutorials for that.

I didn't mean delete them permanently, I just want them off that lot. I enjoy my npc's.
I only want to move in others

I think the only way to move them out would be to move your playable family out, and even then if you move them back in the game seems to remember which townies were in the apartments, and reinstates them.

For future, try these mods instead of the Cyjon one:

Probably what is happening is that the Cyjon mod is causing the game to look for suitable sims and only finding YAs; these other two mods may give a different pool of sims to choose from and so give you different neighbours.

changing each townie's household might move them out of the apartments.

I deleted all of my apartment related mods and installed Piqiwi's More Random Apartment Neighbours and that seems to have fixed something. I have adult neighbors now, along with one teen who stayed throughout all three reloads. I guess he was not going to pass up that nice place next to mine.

For the record, how do you change a townie's household?

There's actually a bug in Cyjon's Random Apartment Neighbors mod that can cause YAs to show up instead of adults (or just cause errors in general). Here is the fixed version.

I always moved sims in and townie whoever was in that apartment was never seen on the lot after that. No problems after so I figured that's how you get them out. (:

Thanks Kestrellyn!

Thanks @kestrellyn , I remember Chris Hatch mentioning that bug so it's great that you've fixed it.

there are a number of ways to change any characters household.
in SimPE:: in the family information resources, select the character in its household's resource and click the Delete button then Commit. then in the household you want, find the character in the drop down menu and click the add button then Commit; with Default household, this would not be necessary. when done, save changes.
in game::
-adding the character to played household; new household is the played household.
-moving the character out (with or without other characters); goes to neighborhood's household bin.
-killing the character; new household would be the "Default" household.
-various hacks are able to change played sims to either the NPC household or various townie types.
