This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Seasons, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Custom Subhood not showing up
I downloaded this today: Sedona and yet I can't get the subhood shopping district to show up to add. I downloaded the inhabited version and I have Mootilda's AllowMultipleShoppingDistricts mod.
The subhood is installed in C:\Program Files (86x)\The Sims 2 Open For Business\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate
Why can't I select it?

might check the filenames of each file.
if any of the files are improperly named, problem might relate to that.

edit:: all files of any neighborhood must start with the name of neighborhood's folder.

That's the right place, and the HBG is really good about naming things correctly. You're absolutely certain you put the subhood version there, not the primary hood? That, or a hiccup during downloading corrupting the file, are the only reasons I can think of for this not to work. If it were me, it'd be because I got confused about which hood version I'd grabbed.

I see you've asked about this in the download thread, so I hope one of the HBG people can help you troubleshoot this soon.

I've had the same problem with the garden subhood. Can't find the problem, either. I decided there's just a conflict somewhere.

The main hood is installed correctly; I'm able to select that at the "Select A Neighborhood" screen. Now, technically I haven't chosen a shopping district yet so maybe that's what the matter is?

I'm confused. If you haven't chosen a shopping district at all, how do you know it isn't showing up?

I don't know. I think I'll try selecting one and see what happens.

Well, I fixed my problem. I doubt it will help since it's another case of my just being stupid. When I switched over to my new computer, I failed to install a zip extractor. for most things that was okay since my computer just let me double click on them to open and extract the contents. But it wouldn't open the subhoods I was downloading. I opted for pzip this time, rather than WinRAR nagware.
