I am also having this issue - although I did have the mod manager installed at one time but I have since uninstalled it and am still having this issue. I even tried the moving the file, in fact I ended up deleting the whole thing making me lose my sims that were already created which is annoying but I can create more (which is more fun anyway). How can I fix the whole red/black thing because it is also messing up my graphics with everything. I have removed mods and custom content and booted it and it still has the issues. This is rather annoying because I can't really lock down what started this whole issue. Thanks to whoever can help me in this.

You may need to reinstall. Have you tried this yet?

Also please post system specs: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game Help:System Specs

Sorry for my English, I speak French.

I have this problem too. It's not the cache or the MOD... It's on C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Les Sims 3 !

Please, help-me ! I like my MOD and my Sims.

Configuration :
Intel core 2 QUAD Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
ATI Readon 4870 @ 1gb
3gb RAM

EDIT. : I upgrade my drivers (www.ma-config.com ;D !).
