This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default How do you recolor cc objects when its not recolorable?
So I've recently gotten into converting ts4 objects to ts2. I've done it successfully but I don't know how to make the object (let's say a painting) have more recolors. I followed this tutorial trying to enable tsDesignModeEnabled. But when I go to recolor the painting nothing shows up in simpe. I also read about CEP but that's only for maxis objects.

You should clone an object that has the properties that you want your new object to have. While the CEP is for Maxis objects, you do want it, and any extras, installed prior to cloning an object. Adding the tsDesignModeEnabled is not the only step required to make objects recolorable. You also need to have a MMAT resource.
