Default I've been talking to the original Sims devs
So I'm a huge Sims fan - I've played since the very beginning. Luckily my job as a videogames journalist means I can actually write about The Sims and call it work. Recently I've been working on features to celebrate 18 years since the release of The Sims, which has meant talking to the original dev team. I've published two stories so far on tidbits I've learnt.

The first being that Maxis used mimes to learn how to make Sims express emotions without real words:

The second is that Claire Curtin and Roxy Wolosenko are best friend goals:

How it comes you didn't get any reply? I'm reading it, this is just lovely! So much passion this game had put on it...

this is quite cool, it's always fun to hear from devs on how they made certain things in their games
