Default Adding a Stained Glass Window
Can someone walk me through how to retexture a window, or whatever must be done to make a custom window? I was looking at buying an 1890's Queen Anne, but it needed too much work to get financing....BUT there is an original window, of a peacock, above the lower landing on the stairs, and I'd really like to put it in my house in TS4...attached is the link from google because I couldn't figure out how to upload the actual image.

You would need TSRW for that, available here: http://www.thesimsresource.com/workshop/
Here are the basics on how to use it: http://forums.thesimsresource.com/i...t-instructions/

When you clone a window you'll see that it has different groups; in the Materials tab find the group/s that have a texture similar to the attached screenshot (mostly grey and with an alpha texture). That is the material for the glass, which is what you want to retexture if all you want is change the glass. Click on Edit to export; when you're done save as DXT5 and import it back in.

However do you have a larger photo of the motif? It seems to be a little small/blurry for the purpose.
