Well, I was pointing out the major points people detect first. I know a man without a degree (which he got when he was sent to college in the early 1990s seasons) wouldn't be able to afford to care for his family. Nor afford the two cars (they also had a station wagon, which Marge uses for errands.) or the spacious house.

He also went through a number of career changes on regular basis, in the first season alone, he was a department store Santa, technical supervisor\supervising technician, safety advocate and eventually his default position at the power plant: safety inspector. Keep in mind the latter 3-4 after "department store Santa" were in the episode "Homer's Odyssey", where he is fired from the supervision position, has an epiphany after saving his family at an unsafe intersection and goes on a crusade to make Springfield a safer place. He eventually confronts Mr. Burns, who gives him the safety inspector position after Homer gives it much thought.

Sometimes I wonder if aliens are intercepting our broadcasts to see our progress.

idk this is "OMG WTF" or not, but..
One sim invited my to a party. Another neighbor was sitting at the owners of the house at the computer and broke it.. I, as a decent guest, decided to fix it, and the owners said that I behave uncultured
That is, to break other people's things in the order of the norm, and free repair - "no thank you"??

And, of course, to do beekeeping in the biki is the best idea!
(although, okay, I think it was with everyone)

In my save with my Simself and Grant...Grant wished his burrito baby son Xemnas Imahara could text him. He's barely a day old and Grant wants Xemnas to text him. A day old baby doesn't know how to operate a smartphone!

Technically, it's iGen. I'm a Millennial. Grant is Generation X

Generation X: 1965-1981
Millennials: 1981-2001
iGen: 2001-present

Keep in mind I have had my eye on men as old as futurist\astrophysicist Michio Kaku. My games always had crazy stuff happening under my judgement and jurisdiction as a creator goddess.

Technically there is no generation at all as its a sims game, not real life.
Plus it was a joke, mostly about how older Gen people love to complain about and blame Millennials for the current obsession with technology.
But jokes are not funny when you need to explain them so..............

I'm not completely obsessed with technology as the stereotype goes. I rather meet people in person as everyone lies, especially on dating apps. What creeps me out are "nice guy" types who go ballistic if you say no to them. Besides, the iGen is the technology obsessed generation. I grew up alongside Internet\computer technology so explaining a 3.5" floppy disk to a generation with thumb drives and cloud storage is irritating.

In any case, the story in my game is it takes place a couple years into the future from this present time, so eventually, a new generation would happen. But for now, I would rather refrain from stereotyping people as you might not know them very well. I am actually saddened that brick and mortar shops that specialize in specific products are going by the wayside. I collected dolls before Toys R Us went bankrupt and even though there is a possibility of a revival, although under a different name of Geoffrey's Toy Box, the dolls I used to collect have been discontinued. Shopping centers like malls and plazas are also in the cross hairs of being run out of business. Eventually, stores will disappear and warehouse districts will pop up. Probably the only way I know to stop the disappearance is by shopping in person.

I actually like shopping in b&m stores as I can get to inspect before purchasing. The last time I had groceries ordered online, they gave me a credit because they screwed up my order for soda (I am against diet soda, I rather take my chances with regular) while my parents were in the Outer Banks near Kitty Hawk (my father remotely ordered groceries to restock while I was housebound because I can't drive because I was thrown out of driver's education for asking too many questions (teacher was unqualified to handle me) and because I have panic attacks)

Aside from my explanation...I think the most WTF-worthy behavior I do in TS3 is turn the mansions owned by the Landgraabs and Altos into farms in the backyard. I have yet to see anything from my sims lately.

I usually demolish everything in the back yard aside from ponds or large enough fenced area for field planting.

Either way, I would have to put someone in the Landgraab residence.

Actually, I pretty much purged the default homed households and left it pretty much empty.

Lately, not much time to play. Next week, I have surgery for an implant similar to a pacemaker. My mother jokes I'm "one step closer to becoming a cyborg." I even joke that, since the battery is buried in the butt, I said "Stop staring at my circuits!" So if I come back about any questionable behavior from my Sims, I will tell you.

Apparently my sim needs to to put on her rucksack just to get from one side of a pool table to the other. Better take a map and a compass too Cori, you wouldn't want to get lost.

Finding out pets can have the rich status when you hover over the HUD left hand panel.

Normally, that only happens if the humans of the estate willed the money to to Fluffy or Fido or Seabiscuit.

Filing under "WTF-worthy".

While it seems weird, it is historically accurate though. There were enough cases when pets actually inherited money before. Though in my opinion, EA has simply done it without even realizing.

Still, what's the problem if I want my cat to inherit my money after my death over my evil genius son who could destroy the world with them? :p

Just joking. But of course, when everyone is still alive, suddenly it's not that realistic anymore to a certain degree, you are right. Still, that's the explanation I like to give myself in the rare occasions when I happen to socialise with rich pets. (I rarely happen to socialise with any pets besides those in my household.) They inherited the money from a deceased sim. And that sim's descendants are taking care of the pet and therefore have control over the money. And that doesn't mean that they are doing it only for money. Maybe they happen to love the pet too. But the pet cannot manage the money, of course, so they do it instead.

I was playing a superhero role-playing game several years ago ( 1980s ) where my character's alter ego was a cat. Maybe there is something about that pet that nobody knows about...

We don't have a butler nor any next of kin integrated in beyond our children. My simhusband Grant only has enough data to be a freestanding sim and as for my simself, they had 17 kids. As clown car as the family dynamic is, once they come of age to help on the farm, they will make sure we have a thriving farm. The odd couple of Unkrich and Estrada are on the other side of the cul de sac working on aquaculture (farming of aquatic life forms). Then there's that stable in the cul de sac. But rarely do we visit. Besides, we're a produce farm where fruits, veggies and even herbs are grown. It becomes dependent on what seeds are found. Our barn cat Dumpling is still crushed from the divorce. Still theorizing Dumpling and Erik were the type to share food. He was an old man who was married to a sluggish young woman (a woman who needs a caffeine boost on weekly intervals) and if he was hungry in the middle of the night, Dumpling would join in.

I'm very much aware of the dynamics of Traverston. The fact I purged the premade population and replace it with my favorite characters is enough to say "I reject that virtual reality and substitute with my own brand!"

When one of my sims graduated she invited her parents. She always rides a motorbike, and on the way to the graduation ceremony her father very briefly appeared on the motorbike with her. Obviously a glitch, but it would be nice if sims actually could ride pillion.

My sim bought an ice-cream cone from the truck outside of the big park in Lucky Palms where there are plenty of benches and picnic tables to sit at, but she decided to get in a cab, even though she has a car, drive across town to the fountain in another park to sit and eat her ice cream......i....huh...why? Open world is why I never went to SIms 4, well that and art style, but it has its downfalls.

Sunset Valley issues: My founder's first son met and fell in love with a cute girl (Jared Frio and Claire the Bear's daughter) at prom. They've been together through high school and when my son graduated, I moved him out in his own house. The girlfriend then graduated, so I'm assuming they're going to get married right? Nope. They break up, and my son ended up marrying Parker Langerak. I... didn't even know he liked men? I checked on them and they were making out in front of the theatre while Mortimer Goth watched. Then as the son went home Parker started hitting on Molly French. So much was going on in that save.
