I've never heard of that. Is it better than the program that comes with the game, File Check?

I never heard of file check

I did not use ThingCheck before either. I tried the 48h free trial SE Object manager and it did find some corrupt files or duplicates but my game still freezed.
(It startet to happen after I put a bunch of downloads and skins into my game and I did not want to delete all of it.)

Never mind. My game works now afer I deleted a hacked computer file.

It still would be great to test ThingCheck..

Oh, I said it wrong! I meant File Cop, not File Check. It's on The Sims disk.

Glad you got your issue sorted out.

My googlefu failed on this one.

I found two mirrors for the hosting for ThingCheck:
https://web.archive.org/web/2007080...s/projects.html
https://web.archive.org/web/2012061...s/projects.html

Wayback machine doesn't have files for ThingCheck though:
https://web.archive.org/web/*/http:...d.tripod.com//*
https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://kotex.iwarp.com//*

Although i have found a readme:
https://web.archive.org/web/2004041...eThingCheck.Txt

Unless anyone can find an alternate URL where this was once hosted, or has archived this file, then it looks like it's gone.

There is an email:
[email protected]
But I don't hold much hope that this will still be active.

Thank you. File Cop indeed found some bad skin files and sorted them out. But I dont think that File Cop looks for modded files since it just scans for walls and textures.
