Default bump/specular maps
hi all,

This can be a dumb question but i really cant understand when i look dst images at warehouse

which one is specular map and which one is bump map? can anyone help me with this?

In the Warehouse view, the bump map is the all-grey image with bumps and contours on it as below:



The specular is the image that looks like faded pink/purpley tones as below:

omg thank you really so much , finally i got it. sorry my english is not good. I convert some stuff but need to change bump maps. Downloaded bump map file from s4 studio site but when i use it object is little faded. I do something wrong or maybe the downloaded file not good?

Moving to Create > Object Creation. Please use the Create fourms for help with creating CC; the Help forum in Discussion is for help with the game.

Can you post your package? When you say "object is a little faded", I'm thinking perhaps you mixed up the textures somehow, but that's hard to tell without seeing what you are talking about. A bumpmap needs to be DXT5, and it needs to have mipmaps; if you think the problem might be the actual bumpmap texture you could try re-importing the original one to doublecheck.

Studio can accept .png images for bump and specular also.

the bump map that you downloaded is it predone? I'm not sure if I quite understand. If so, its really easy to make your own and I can show you how if you like.
