Default What are the system requirements for running the Silent Hill world smoothly?
I noticed that the fog made the game run really really slow so i'm wondering what kind of computer do you need to run it smoothly but i'm in no rush to get one because i'm satisfied with the one I have and because i'm broke if you have any suggestions to make the world run a lot smoother without taking away from it's creepy atmosphere I would like that as well.

If you're talking about the Silent Hill world that I have in mind (rather old and unpopulated) then I think to remember that it was never really intended to be used in a regular game and just for the creator's Machinima project. It's also missing a link to the cc the creator used and you end up with a lot of broken object references.

You can speed it up a bit by deleting many of the fog spawners that are on all the lots. IIRC the world also uses the in-world fog and I guess you can use NRaas Tempest in addition to set the world to be permanently foggy so you won't need all those spawners anymore.

You can supposedly download a version without CC here: http://evinfilms.blogspot.com/2011/...-hill-city.html. The link to the version with CC doesn't appear to be working anymore. As Don said, I've read that deleting many of the fog emitters on the lots will help. I suspect that custom lighting was used - maybe Bridgeport's - as well as the CAW fog that Don mentioned which places fog over portions of the map. (I believe the CAW fog item came with Supernatural.) If not, and you're comfortable using SPE3/CAW, you could add gloomy custom lighting and that item. Also, changing the seasons/weather options in the game might help. There are tutorials/threads here at MTS that will be helpful if you decide to edit the neighborhood/world yourself.

Thank you for help. Is there is anywhere I could look to add in the gloomy lighting to the world?

This is the tutorial I've used to put lighting from an EA world/neighborhood into a map I was building: http://modthesims.info/showthread.p...5#startcomments. If you want to try Bridgeport lighting, the files you need are in the first thread I posted. Lighting for Midnight Hollow (really dark) is here: https://cawster.wordpress.com/2013/...llow-caw-files/. There are also a number of custom created lighting effects available. A simple search should find some. Or, there are probably some listed in the first link. Good luck with your project!
