Default Creating new objects for Sims 3 with Blender, what else do I need to start?
Usually I prefer to dig around until I find answers, hours if needed, but this time around I have a kind of "deadline" for this project - I'm hoping to get this done before my sister's birthday So I decided to come (almost) straight for help, hopefully someone can lend me a hand here for the start!

Background: I have some basic Blender knowledge. I have played Sims 3 a lot when I was a teenager, not so much anymore. I have never created or even used mods for it. My little sister nowadays plays Sims 3 a lot and loves it. I'm planning to recreate her favourite plush toy as an object inside the game - it can be as simple as just a "statue" that can be put on floor or table, nothing fancy needed. We took some pictures of the toy today and I am starting to soon model it, but I have no clue how to go about on adding it to the game files when it's finished - or if I have to do something differently while modeling it.

So. I have Blender 2.73 (I'd prefer not to install another older version of it, if possible),
1) What programs do I need, that are available still AND that work with Blender version 2.73? Just bare minimums, so I can export a textured 3D object from Blender to Sims 3.
2) If not possible, what would I need for working with Blender 2.6x? (I'd prefer not to download older than 2.7 version of Blender, but if it's needed then, well, just gotta do it :P)

Once I know what programs I would need, I can check out where to get them, what's their purpose and how to use them on my own Just a "shopping list of programs" needed now.

(Just a note, I haven't downloaded these yet, but I have came across: S3PE : http://www.simlogical.com/ContentUp...te/uploads/189/
DXTBmp : http://www.mwgfx.co.uk/programs/dxtbmp.htm
TS3 Tools for Blender 2.7 : http://modthesims.info/d/433882
Do I need some of these?/ Do you know if these still work?/ Something I am missing from the list?)

Just making CC with S3PE is going to be really hard (like really advanced probably 3% of the CC creators knows how to and make it work... unless we're talking about cloning). Anyway! I would take a look at TSRW, and I mean the older version you can get here: http://greenplumbboblover.tumblr.co...005426/tsrw-172
The reason why I link you the older version is because since TSRW got merged with the sims 4, it became unusable, unless we're talking about texture edits. So if you downloaded that, I also recommend to use Milkshape to make it a 'bridge' from Blender to TSRW so you can export it as a WSO. (the Blender plugin is giving me a lot of errors, especially with the 2.7+ versions which I prefer too when it comes to meshing.)
I would recommend to look at this to gain some knowledge about TSRW and it's object making: http://wiki.thesimsresource.com/ind...hrough:_Objects
And this one for just creating (this one helped me out a lot and will actually avoid the errors you might get along the way ): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-llEzJO93Hs

Let me know if you still have some questions!
