Default D3Derr_outofvideomemory! Error Crashing My Game
Hey guys! So ever since I got my new windows 10 every single time I try to load up any sims 2 I get an error that says, "Direct3D returned an error: D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY! The application will now terminate."
I've been searching all over to try & fix this issue but I don't know what to do.
I've tried everything on forums, reinstalled my game multiple times, updated graphics cards, I've asked tons of people for advice but my game is literally just broken I can't do anything.

System spec things:

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 14393) (14393.rs1_release.170602-2252)
Graphics card: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series
Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
Model: ASUS Desktop PC M52BC_M32BC Series
BIOS: 0401
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor (6 CPUs), ~3.5GHz
Installed memory (RAM): Memory: 12288MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 12204MB RAM
Page File: 14165MB used, 11503MB available

Thank you for any responses.

Have you tried restricting the game to use one of your six cores? Multicore CPUs confuse TS2 because they weren't very popular when it first came out.

I use the sims as a psychology simulator...
