Best Custom Worlds
For too long I have played with Ea's Expansion pack theme parks. No longer I say! I want a world that combines the best features of the multiple expansion packs, and showcases the best creative aspects of the games!

So, before I venture into the vast wasteland that is the Sims Exchange, I'd like to know what some of the more highly-rated custom worlds are, so I can better seperate the trash from the treasure.

Well, theres so many hoods out there, its not easy to know what youre looking for exactly. Theres another thread named 'favourite custom worlds'
http://modthesims.info/t/433957
on this site (ignore my personal preferences on that thread, that was in 2011) but even the best hoods out there may not have the features of X,Y,Z expansion packs.
Sometimes you have to add those features yourself..
It depends what you want. The best beautiful worlds, or ones that have all EP features? Rarely will you find a hood that has both

I can do with fewer expansion pack capabilities. I want a beautiful world with a rich community.

I'm currently looking for a world similar to Twinbrook, but I never liked any of the people inhabiting Twinbrook, so I'd want to re-do that.

On The Sims 3 exchange, I like many of the world's done by Rflong7.
http://www.thesims3.com/userExchang...assetType=world

Some of them have little errors or no population, so I edit them in CAW and make a new version. Rflong7 has talent and an eye for aesthetic that I don't have.

I'm currently testing a new world released from CAW called Logan which will have room for almost everything as it's a larger sized world.

No, I don't complain. I don't look a gift Delorean in the radiator.
Routing errors, mostly. I've been practicing making my own worlds from scratch, it seems to be a CAW thing.
I can fix errors. I can't make art, tho.

Sims are better than us.

Which one of his worlds would you recommend for a lower spec laptop?

You can always download a larger hood and just delete lots until your laptop can handle it

I used to run Hylewood and Saaqartoq on my old crappy laptop with no issues. Sa Pineda would be good for doing a Midnight Sun challenge.

If you could share with me the problems they're having- in routing- if they're fixable, I would gladly fix them. I've had a lot of testing in all my worlds. Some routing can't be changed and some can.

*Just to add, Nilxis worlds are always so beautiful.

Or trees. Some worlds are cluttered with absurd amount of greenery. While it makes world look more presentable and realistic,it also causes great stuttering, freezing.
I came across Riverblossom hills world and instantly fell in love, because It was my favorite in TS2,but it lagged like mad.I removed some shrubs and trees here and there, but I moved towns soon after, because without all those nature attributes, the world seemed blank. Now my sims live in STRANGETOWN and I can't be any happier with a hood like I am with this one at the moment. It runs buttery smooth and looks superb. :lovestruc

Of course I am biased: Saturenorn
I like alien worlds.

link to site Nornities made for Saturenorn is in my sig..has plenty stunning pix from a variety of players.

It is a beautiful, colorful, original sci-fi ice world with amazing builds by Satureja and other creators. Nornities generously made the world for the project begun by Satureja and myself.

(Norn makes quality worlds. Her world "Northeny" was uploaded here recently, and those of you who like more normal worlds might love that one too. It seems pretty popular and i know Norn thoroughly tested that one too. That world has a population.)

Back to sci-fi worlds tho:

Saturenorn was tested very thoroughly by a team of testers and was released this past summer.

No population came with it, but there are now natives available for download at the site. They use a custom skin and eyes made for us by Niobe Cremisi. So..if you like sci-fi , you might enjoy this world.

If you like sci-fi settings I can also recommend the alien worlds by Risastorm if you don't mind building and populating yourself. I've tried them all and never had a problem with any.

MTS does not allow us to delete our accounts. I will not be logging into this account anymore, so PMs would go unanswered.
