I voted Early '09. For various reasons... But they could stall it into June/July..

It took four and a half years for Sims 2 to be released since the release of Sims 1 in February 2000. So if it's fall of 2009 for Sims 3, that will be five years. Not so bad.

i think that they will release it around... let's say in the summer of 2009... they delayed a lot of games and i don't see why they won't delay this one(MM appeared because of a delay in sims 2, spore is announced on sept 7, but a few sites said april), but i hope for early 2009

I voted for Late 2009 becuase that's when i WANT it to be out.
Enough time to get pre-fix bugs and include features,
and for us Sims 2 players, a good amount of time to explore the game before squealing over a shiny new game.

My friend made a point the other day. When Sims 2 was going to be released, we (meaning me and my friend) thought "How could you make this game any better?" I'm using that saying now because look at the difference between Sims 1 and Sims 2 and imagine the difference between Sims 2 and Sims 3...*jaw drops*

Yeah but that was merely because TS3 is 3D and TS1 was 2D. Since TS2 and TS3 are both 3D, the difference will still probably not be in comparison to the difference between TS1 and TS2. I mean, sure, there will be very huge differences, but probably not as huge as TS2 was from TS1. I hope I'm wrong, though.

I don't think the graphics change will be as dramatic between The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 as it was with 1 to 2, however, there's no doubt graphics will be a lot better. I think the more dramatic changes will come with AI and actual gameplay. Hopefully building techniques will also be greatly improved.

Yes and I hope that many of the MATY hacks will be considerable as possible features for TS3... such as the romance mod where your Sim will decline any romantic interactions of their non-preferred gender.

I guess in 2009... I voted late 2009. If I remember correctly, the last EP of sims1 was released around Halloween 2003 and TS2 came out in summer 2004. but there where way more info on TS2 already than is now for TS3...

Yes, it's the first date given but that was from a site where you can pre-order it. I forget where but the link is at Snooty's.

Pre-order it now???
Please.......

Yes I saw it but it is not necessarily official. If this is the true date I'm very glad it won't come this year or early next January.
But for my part the game can wait longer.......

Forget about the graphics differences from TS2 - TS3, unlike TS1 - TS2, because this one more focuses on the Gameplay which isn't apparent in the screenshots.

And about time something was done with TS1/TS2 flawly gameplay, I like the idea of less needs bars, continiousous neighborhoods, something I always thought was impossible but with technology today, it now will be possible.

I was thinking mid 2009, but voted early 2009.

It'll probably be released sometime between March and July of 09.
I'm pretty sure within a years time they would have worked on it long enough.
I also thing mid 09 is a perfect release date.

Especially with how long its been in progress.... and christ in 2010 Ill almost be 19 lol
(16 now)

A new article or an older one?
It's the 19th March today but the official Sims 3 site has not come with any information. It looks completely the same.

You'll need to wait for California time! It's 12:30AM PDT. I imagine it won't be up till much later when the people putting it up are at work.

Spring 2009 is my guess.

So March/April/May, around there?
#49 Old 19th Mar 2008 at 1:57 PM
I'm hoping it'll be released late 2009. Then it'll give me enough time to save up for a new bad ass PC and also to enjoy the sims2 more as there's so much I don't know about the game
shiny!

I had originally voted for late 2009 but with the website being up already I think maybe we're looking at late 08/early 09. I don't think they'd have the website up for over a year before releasing..
