My pictures aren't something great like all pictures here, but I'm trying to improve my photographing skills, thought I've been taking photos for a couple of years now...

Everyone has such gorgeous photos! Here are a few of mine. I'm not a great photographer by any means, but taking pictures is fun. These were all taken with a Canon Cybershot A430, and they were taken on a vacation to Newfoundland.

This was at a sort of research center- the people in the photo are my parents.

Here's my dad again! We were at a tourist spot called "Bird Rock" (I think that was the name, anyway!), for obvious reasons... In case it's hard to tell, the white things everywhere are birds. xD

This was taken at a plant conservatory. I'm not usually a fan of spending too much time walking through gardens, but the scenery here was amazing!

Ranta, I really like your first two pictures. It's cute how you used your
parents to sort of frame them... if that makes sense.

So, this is a mixture of newish and oldish photos of mine, all taken with my
trusty Powershot A650 IS (still no DSLR ) and edited for contrast and
color. Click the thumbnails for larger versions.

I was in my garden and decided to place rose petals together. o:

I love messing with nature. >|

Taken from inside my bath tub. Mythical things happen from wear I live. o:

This is where my beloved bird, Blue, lay silently below the earth. He died last year, due to a vicious attack of another bird, and I re-did his grave to show my compassion and our friendship after the years we spent together.

R.I.P. Blue,
I love you. ♥

A few pictures I took on my honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
Camera: Kodak Easyshare DX7440
No filters or photoshopping

Sunset view from our balcony

View from my sun lounger

The Sea

A couple of sunrise pictures taken out of the window at work on my camera phone so the quality's not that great, but I think it adds to the effect somehow.

Sunrise

I almost want to squint looking at this one because it seems so bright!
Almost too bright

Lastly, a picture I took a couple of years ago, I like framing my pictures with things inside the picture itself.

I usually bring my camera to the forest where I live. I use a Sony Cybershot that I got for my birthday. (People say its a crap-camera, but I dont think so. You just have to work a little harder, thats all. Im used to my very old Pentax Spotmatic, so it took me a while to get the idea behind digital cameras. Im still learning to take them seriously... ) I added some light in Paint.NET to the first pic. The other is not edited at all.

kailay, great photos! I especially love the skiing one - the reflection on the snow from the sunset is to die for.
Lipsy Froufrou, I feel relaxed just looking at those gorgeous views! Great job.
sayyadina, I really like the last one. Great color and depth of field.

A couple of newer ones from me...
All taken with my Nikon D80 and 50mm f/1.8 lens. All sharpened and edited for color and stuff. The girl in the first two is mah little sis, and the feet in the last one are, um, mine. :D

Daisie; Them pictures are brilliant, I LOVE the quality. *is SO jealous* I love on your last one, how the feet are the main focus and everything is is 'blurred'.

sayyadina, That winter lake picture is beautiful.

Lipsy Froufrou; lovely pictures!

Kailay; BEAUTIFUL photos! I'm loving that cloud one :]

And here I was thinking, there's just too many to comment...but they're all, gah, incredible and I can't help it, so here goes...

Rabid!... Okay, so I might have become a stalker, I don't know yet. If I happen to post in a couple of other threads you find yourself in, than yes, maybe But, I do absolutely love that Wet Tiger Lily shot, the colors, the angle, the lighting...ah. Um, is there anything you can't do? :D
fiksteufel...Wow, just wow wow. I love your concepts.
MWT, I'm absolutely in love with the two you took on the school trip, especially the first one, just beautifully framed and so peaceful.
kustirider2, so, rubbish photographer you say...pfft! They're all great, and I agree with sayyadina, the penguins ones is very artsy, mostly 'cause of the angle. I love the Rocket ship one though, like the scale is very realistic, and I love the transition from foreground to background.
Ranta, I love love love that second one. The colors are so vibrant and the angle and subject matter, it's just a great traveling pic!
Daisie, you've got one hell of an eye...or heavenly? Well, I don't know who you sold your soul to, but it's working I love the last photograph with the star, 'cause having tried those myself, I know how difficult the timing can be, and it came out awesome. Also, I love your portraits, they all look so professional.
declandabest, I'm in love with the second one. The lines, the bright background and transitions from the foreground to the back...yeah. Just love it as an abstract piece.
Mishellia, I really like how you set up the scenes, especially for the first two pics. Very creative, and the angles and lighting, just great.
Dreamydre15, LOL I'd say he looks more frightened of Algebra than bored, hee. What eyes!
Blast the Stereo, I really like your abstract pics, you've an eye for the angles and I'm officially in love with your featured picture of the Temple in the distance.
kailay, your pictures make me yearn for an actual winter (not a Florida one ). I'm officially in love with the Sunrise pic, and the Clouds one. The depth of Field in the clouds one is just amazing.
Lipsy Froufrou, aren't Caribbean beaches just the best? LOL I love the color in the second pic, and the way the palm trees frame the shot, just gorgeous. And that last one, just beautiful. Reminds me of a Japanese garden actually.
sayyadina, that second and third one just took my breath away. Just love everything about the second one, and the third is actually very relaxing, peaceful almost. Makes me want to go outside and enjoy the day.

And now to reveal the shame of my pics :smash:

The Siren Series
Abstract/Gradient filters
Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi
Untitled 1
Untitled 2
Untitled 3
Untitled 4

These are among my very first B&Ws I took when I started photography with a 35mm flim camera. Oh how I miss that camera... I'd also like to apologize for some of the harsh contrasts. All these pictures I developed them myself in the dark room, and when I was first starting and learning how to work with B&Ws. They do get better, I promise

Thank you, Jocus :D! I love your siren series- the saturated colors and dreamy, abstract filtering are so beautifully done. The black and whites are lovely, too- there's nothing more simply emotive than a black and white photograph. And to answer your question, yes, there are things I can't do- algebra and Dance Dance Revolution, just to name a few .
