As far as the reaction thing goes, I just assumed that having "Is Revealing" as a clothing attribute incited some kind of reaction from observing sims. I don't play the game other than to test stuff in CAS, so...idk what a revealing outfit does

And I think bra straps is a wonderful idea! Although I was hoping this would be the "push" to get other simmers out there to make wearable panties and bras :D
