This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Default crash during gameplay fix
I was not for sure if this had been noted but I had problems where my game would crash to desktop while playing with almost no warning I found this fix.

http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/79541.page

Apparently it was a problem with the high detail lots option which I had mine up to 12 and after moving it down to 4, I no longer have intermittent crashes during gameplay and the game is no longer eating up my memory either.

There are loads of reasons for the game to crash. It sounds like your problem is that your computer isn't strong enough to handle the game at higher settings, but this is not the case for every person who has the game crash. Hopefully turning down the settings is enough but if your game starts crashing again then you may need to not play the game on that computer anymore, or at least upgrade some things, if possible.

If you're interested in having us take a look at your computer, please post system specs: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?tit...:System%20Specs

Otherwise I'm going to have to lock as this forum is only for people seeking help, not making tutorials.

Okay, then the easiest way to say this is that your computer is too powerful. More complex explanation is that the Sims games have a limit to how much RAM they can successfully utilize. With 64 bit systems and lots of RAM, sometimes the game tries to use more than 2GB and it causes the game to crash. Try this: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=375907 (we also have it somewhere on the wiki but I can't find it right now)
Also install these: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_w...95.62_whql.html

Btw I can't post in the thread you linked to but if you could tell anyone that's using a Nvidia card to update to nvidia driver version 195.62 and for everyone with a super computer who is crashing to also try that guide.

Thank you for the help I tried looking on the wiki first about the problem and did not see it either.
