@Phoeberg: I wouldn't call it the worst movie I've ever seen, but Paranormal Activity was way overhyped. It was really just kind of boring. I normally prefer horror films that are more psychological than they are gory, but that one didn't elicit any feelings of horror, terror, or what-have-you from me.

Words can't adequately describe this hilarity, though, it's one of these movies that are so bad that you just have to see them yourself.

What was that Miley Cyrus movie that came out over the summer? The Last Song or something like that?
Worst piece of crap ever. It was on before Alice in Wonderland at the drive in theatre where I live, and my mom and I almost had to leave because the The Last Song was so dumb...after about half an hour through the movie, you could predict every single event right up to the end. -.-

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004) - Back in 2006/7 a mutual friend recommended this film to me and my husband, he said it was awesome so we gave it a shot. I don't remember specifically what I hated about it because it was a while ago and I've managed to almost block it completely from memory but I remember both me and my husband swore never to trust this guy's judgement ever again. We even thought maybe he recommended it as a practical joke but to this day he reckons it's a great film....srsly, no.

The Cooler (2003) - about a guy who is really bad luck so casinos hire him to stand near people who are on a winning streak so his bad luck will rub off....or something like that. I actually turned it off less than half way through (and I hate not seeing a film the whole way through!) because it was so depressing and boring....it's supposed to be a comedy ffs!

Crossroads with Britney Spears. It's basically an hour and a half of cliches. A good one to watch if you want to feel smart because you'll be able to predict everything that happens.

I've not seen this but I recently watched a re-run of the 'How I met your Mother' episode that she guest starred in and she was terrible! Ugh....it was so cringe-worthy to watch, I actually lost a little bit of respect for Neil Patrick Harris for even agreeing to be on the same set which makes me wonder how anyone can sit through a whole hour and a half-2 hours of such bad acting?! That guest appearance was post meltdown though, during one of her attempts at a comeback....maybe it adversly affected her acting ability?

I actually thought her acting in CR was ok, but perhaps the lameness of the script made her look good by proxy!

A whajaigaiig????? Dude, those were funny to see in theaters, when all the teens went to go see them and pissed themselves scared, I actually kinda thought it was amusing (The movie)

I can say that the grudge movies weren't that good. I can say that I halfway watched the first twilight at the station on day before I left, I thought that one is horrible. All those B-Movies that have the same title just mixed on Scifi (You know when Scifi showed science fiction, not wrestling) Erm... and also Hostel 1, didn't make any sense and I can't believe that was a true story. :S

Yeah, Hostel was pretty bad, but then again, it was made by Eli Roth, the self-proclaimed "genius" who also brought us the Cabin Fever series...
Actually, I've come to pretty much hate most of the horror movies that just overly-inject gore and shock value crap in order to make the film seem "grittier" or "more real." A good example of this was the re-make of The Hills Have Eyes. I can stand and appreciate putting in darker themes to tell your story, but there is a point where it just becomes off-putting and distasteful, because it's obviously just being done for the shock value or to make the movie seem more "hardcore" than it really is. Especially when you sacrifice things like development of likeable characters (you know, so that you'll actually give a crap when bad things happen to them) for the on-screen rape and decapitation scene.

I did enjoy the part when the chick got dragged down that hold, that was actually pretty cool. Oh thought of another movie... um forgot it now... on tip of my tounge... forgot it... nope completly gone...

Also on the subject of cloverfield... this was made by a friend of mine, and I think this really resembles the filming style of cloverfield, fast, shit, cutting in and out, and you never really see what happens. Incidently this also falls into horrible movies you should never watch...

Worst films are those on the Sci-Fi channel...The Human Centipede is both awefull and funny at the same time. Horror channel movies are rubbish too but on occasion they show a classic that I like. I quite like some crappy films (Hostel, Cabin Fever have been mentioned here but I find those funny and slightly entertaining) I think Saw 5 was rubbish but the last Saw movie was ok. Now I like Jurassic Park but it isn't the same as the book (same as with Lost World & Jaws - Spielburgh just goes for the action and forgets the story and plot). War Of The Worlds was also crap (both of them as they don't follow the story but as effects go the original 50's one was far superior to Spielburghs), Anaconda 3 + David Hasselhoff = Crap film (mind you the other were crap too)...I could go on forever but I won't.

Year One - I was expecting some funny stuff from Jack Black, but I was wrong. Did not laugh once throughout it.

The Adjustment Bureau - I didn't want to see this in the first place (wanted to see Paul instead) but it was my friends choice. I was expecting some Bourne Supermacy action stuff, but guess what I WAS FOILED AGAIN!! It's just a crappy ass chick flick, with guys who wear fedoras to go through doors and end up in an entirely different place and who keep telling Matt Damon that he "No, can't haz" some woman. The only reason they put the whole jumping through doors is so they want people to say "Oooooo look they can jump through doors, this storyline is so awesome!!!!11"

Have you heard of the movie Baby Geniuses? I got reminded of this one by the Nostalgia Critic's review of it.
http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/vi...6-baby-geniuses
He was right, it was so stupid and forgettable that it took someone else bringing it up for me to remember that it existed at all.

Anyone remember an old little "gem" called Howard the Duck, often considered one of the top 100 worst films ever made?
http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/vi...howard-the-duck
I know that I was one of the many who watched it as a kid (because my parents mistakingly thought that it was a kid's movie, like so many others...), but I must've honestly blocked most of it out, because there was a lot of that I honestly didn't remember, including the infamous "Duck-Tits" scene.
In the words of the Critic himself, "It will never leave, it will never leave!"

Assuming that it ever actually gets made, I think that we may have finally found a "so hilariously bad that it's awesome" movie that can compete with both The Room and Trolls 2.

Amen to that. Thriller/horror movie? Really? Nothing happened!

However, the absolutely worst movie I've seen, ever, was Piranha 3D. The story was pretty much "here are some topless chicks, here are some more topless chicks, here are some topless chicks dancing, here's a 10 minute sequence of some naked chicks swimming under water and making out, here's a naked chick paragliding.... oh, and yeah, there are some piranhas too... Okay, so, back to the naked chicks".
We walked out.

I also agree with whoever mentioned The Libertine. I love Johnny Depp, but seriously, that one was just dull.

There are more, but I can't think of them right now.

I actually remember that Piranha movie being out! The trailer for it provided me with many laughs.

Also, some ones that I admittedly want to see even though my instincts tell me that they're going to be bad:
Insidious--it's the makers of Paranormal Activity and Saw linking up, so the chances of it being good...(Yeah, the first Saw and maybe it's first two or three sequels were good, but most everyone can agree that the series went downhill fast. Hollywood really needs to learn when to just let things die.)
Arthur
Battle: Los Angeles --just to see what the actual story is, if there is any. Plus, what exactly are the aliens in that thing? Are they robots or what?)
Sucker Punch --to sort of check out the style. I'm not expecting much story-wise, and someone earlier in the thread mentioned that there were enough plot-holes to give any intelligent person a migraine, but I do want to see how the fantasy world is played out, how it's styled, how they blend it in with the "real world," etc.

Needless to say, I can definitely wait for video on all of these, especially the last two.

I saw Sucker Punch. It's kind of like a crazy dream, so I just went along with it. Whoever did the art design or whatever they call the way the film looks did a really good job. And the CGI in the super hero world was good - had a graphic novel feel. I'm definitely glad I saw it on a big screen.

I was shocked about Vin Diesel in "The Pacifier".

I love Sci Fi films, but "Eden Log" is pure torture. In the beginning you watch a guy, who is crawling out of the mud. Nothing happens, he's crawling for 10 minutes!!! The story is ... ähm, wait! Which story??!!

"Rise: Blood Hunter" with Lucy Liu is a joke. The only highlight was to see her, hanging naked from the ceiling.

"Bloody Mallory" has a soundtrack that reminds me of a karaoke bar, when all guests are drunken and can't read their textes anymore.

Any disney stars releasing movies that are '3D concerts' are presumably going to be terrible. Unless you're a fan. ..or you could just go to one of their concerts. But I guess it's all for the money.

Twilight was pretty bad, and also The Human Centipede. I can't believe there's going to be a Sequel to that movie. D:

Many people consider the 2nd and 3rd movies in the PoTC franchise pretty bad, but I enjoyed them greatly! The 2nd is probably my favourite one and the 3rd is my friends favourite. I find them entertaining to watch, and at least it's a break from sappy, romantic cliche movies out there as well as vampire movies. Though I can't wait for On Stranger Tides to be released. It looks pretty cool .. okay, basically anything with Johnny Depp, I'll love. *blush*
