Hi there, I've just been going through my old folder of TS2 stuff on my PC and found that I have two HystericalParoxysm tutorials I downloaded years ago to use offline, and they contain the screenshots that have since gone missing from the tutorial threads. (Maybe due to the server issue that happened a while back where various file and pics were lost?) The tutorials are 'How to make a sim's face using source pics' http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=169730 and 'Changing makeup layering/multi-wearability' http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=173232 .

If you do no longer have the original screenshots for these, I'll be happy to extract my copies of them and upload them to you - I guess I can zip them into a folder and attach them to this post?

(ETA: Just noticed the pics are rather small and I'm not sure that's how big they were originally, but at least small pics are better than none! The pics from 'How to make a sim's face using source pics' could be blown up a bit and still look acceptable, but the ones from the other tutorial become very blurry if blown up at all.)

Is it just because they are old? I keep running into this problem in tutorials:

Quite often the tutorials are based entirely on the pictures, and there is little written information, so the tutorials are useless. Is there any way I can see the missing pictures?

Image Shack just changed the policy on a free account so that you can only store 500 images. All the older ones get deleted after a month until you are at the limit. We are likely to be seeing more of this if people were using image shack to get around the bandwidth restrictions from Photobucket, and hadn't used modyourpanties.

I am Ghost. My husband (who made the account because I was too shy) is sidneydoj. I post, he downloads, and I wanted to keep my post count.

With HP's tutorials, most of the images were hosted on her own site, DemusedSims, which went boom a few years ago.

Could you zip up the pics and attach them?

Here you go - as mentioned, the copies of the pics I have are pretty small and I'm not sure that was their original size, but I've enlarged them as far as I dare before losing too much quality. The pics from the tutorial for making sim's faces from source pics are still reasonably good and useable. But, the ones I had from the makeup layering tutorial were -very- small and the screenshots of SimPE didn't enlarge at all well, so you might decide to give those a miss.

The screenies are all numbered in the order in which they occurred in the tutorials. Sorry for the less than ideal quality, but I hope this is at least better than nothing!
Download - please read all instructions before downloading any files!

Bumping this up for my reference.

Tumblr - Yes, I have a blog. :)

<Corsix> Why 'mod the sims 2' when you can mod 'mod the sims 2'?

Story books are full of fairy tales, of Kings and Queens, and the bluest skies.
