SIMs 3 gave us Burrito babies. For TS4 they should go for Babysubs or Hamburbaby

No! Do not let EA hear you. Knowing them we'll get them the first day and then a bug wont allow us to change them or something. Besides a whole day of wrapped in a blanket is almost half the lifespan of a baby as it is. :P

They were so cute! I love how overly-excited the baby would get to the point of exhaustion, then they'd simply slump over asleep

Thanks for all of your comments, guys. They certainly make me feel better about TS4 and nooboos

Knowing EA, they will give us burito babies and possibly skip toddler stage all in favor of not doing much work with coding.

Look what they did with The Sims 3 for Wii. Skipped Toddler and Baby altogether. Look at various videos. Once a woman gives birth, the game acts as if you just advanced 10 years later and the kid is now a child instantly.

Whoa, it's been a while since I heard someone call them nooboos, instead of burritos

Be fair. That's a console game you're talking about- a console game for the weakest last-gen console, at that.

I've never heard of anyone who actually likes babies and toddlers in Sims, so cutting that out to save space makes sense.

And it's an improvement from Sims 2 for console, anyway, where you couldn't have kids at all.

I like babies and toddlers in Sims. TS2 Sims, at least, I've got no real opinion about TS3 ones.

i think babies in sims 3 are annoying as hell but that's because you can't do anything with them! they just lie there and stare into the air, waiting for their moodbars to go yellow so they can scream and get them filled up again. babies aren't like that in real life, it's actually very important for them to be socialised A LOT and to experience thing.

Babies and toddlers happen to be my favorite life stages in TS2. Not so much in TS3, however (at least not the burritos). If they manage to screw up these two lifestages again, I don't think I'll get the game. Babies in TS2 have face expressions and move around a lot, contrary to TS3 where all they do is an expressionless stare and screaming, and lie with their hands folded (like I've not seen any real-life baby do). TS2 babies are much more like real-life babies in the way they move.

In case you all haven't seen the new video of TS4 gameplay, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjPPjU8OARg. I quite like the idea of the new CAS to be honest, but I hope the graphics don't stay as they are in the video. I know that it's taxing on computers with TS3's somewhat limited interactions and graphics settings as it is, and cartoony isn't always bad, but I think that TS4 sims are very low-resolution.

That said, the emotion system is going to make gameplay more of a chore it seems. Sims may get depressed and refuse to do absolutely everything! (I hope not! lol)

Still, other than those little points it looks like there is a lot more flexibility and it's going to be a lot of fun!

Yeah, I've seen that. Not a baby or toddler in sight. That's far more important to me than rockets!

I love the toddlers, and I hope there are more interactions for babies, too! And more child sim interactions on the toddlers and babies. And toddlers should be able to try and get out of their crib themselves.
I'm trying to be optimistic and hope that in the TS4 youtube video there are no babies or toddlers because there's a lot of new stuff for them and they aren't finished designing them yet.
I hope.

There are CAS screens showing buttons for age stages. So I'm sure there will be age stages. I think they just aren't finished yet.

What they will look like, of course, is anybody's guess :p

I love the babies! They are essential to the game.

But um... no. Sims 2 console is 50000000000000X better than Sims 3 Wii.
I can agree that Sims 3 PS3 and 360 are better than Sims 2 console, but Sims 3 wii being better than Sims 2 console? Hahahhaha nuh uh. Even without kids in TS2 console, at least it was playable.

No babies and toddlers in Sims 4? EA can keep it. Deal breaker and really hope that is not the trend for the new fangled game play the younger players want.

I never said it was better than Sims 2 for console (though, personally I think all the console Sims save Urbz are shit)

I just said Sims 2 didn't have ages other than adult at all.

Who said there aren't any?

I don't think my statement said there wasn't any babies in Sims 4, thus the question mark. It was a response to Mukora's statement that no one liked babies in Sims. That is all.

Maybe I just spend too much time around MATY, and am a bit biased because I myself have never like Sims babies (Even in TS2, I mean, they were cute, but they were still little piss-and-shit sacks that wasted space)

No, you be fair. Seriously, weakest last-gen console?! Are you kidding me?!

Besides a bunch of people (such as myself) like babies in Sims, what are you talking about :P

... The Wii was the weakest last gen console, unless you're silly and count handholds. The system specs were far lower than the Xbox and PS3.

That^ I couldn't care less about rockets or silly whoohoo places. If babies and toddlers are a not fully developed life stage with changeable clothes and normal actions like being able to give them a bath it will be a deal breaker for me. Currently in sims 2 I have buyable baby clothes, hair, toys like the bouncer and now accessories like shoes and bows. Thanks Theraven! Sims 3 babies were half done.

My guess is they are sitting there laughing about how long they can hold out on showing them.
