Ah yes, I did post the links to the TS4 versions. Ooops! Moocha-Muses over on Tumblr made the TS2 ones (I have now added a link).

(My links were from Moocha's post, to show the original objects from TS4 which she had converted to TS2 but weren't all pictured in her upload post.)

Oh, and I live in England, where most people (but not me) butter sandwiches and sometimes also bread rolls for hamburgers and hotdogs!

I butter everything, and we also use actual butter not that horrible margarine stuff.

@Charity the whole Jif thing I mentioned back a page too.

Not buttering bread seems really weird.

Also, the link for the roast pork here is dead. Does anyone know anywhere else you can get it from?

Oh, I had seen those lauratje, but I thought they were ready meals so I skipped them: https://moocha-muses.tumblr.com/pos...sims-remove-the
(Also, when making hamburgers or hotdogs I do use mayonnaise instead!)

I think that Moocha-Muses' set is made of three sets of Budgie2Budgie's original objects - ready meals, meat products and vegetarian/vegan products. I don't think I'll use the ready meals (unless I can find matching CC edible foods), but the meat and veggie options will be of use to me, I reckon.

It's all just a matter of culture, of course, no pun intended. Apparently in Europe and possibly Australia, the butter is often cultured and more flavorful, while in the US, most butter is mild. I suspect most sandwich fillings would just overpower the flavor.

The butter isn't there to flavour it, not really, not unless it's an actual flavoured butter like garlic butter. The butter is there to moisten the bread.

You also need plenty of butter with vegemite to dilute the flavour. (or most Aussies do, some can eat it straight or with only a little butter) Most Americans have no idea how to eat Vegemite and try and treat it like peanut butter when what it actually is, a spreadable soy sauce. Plenty of people like soy sauce but they are not going to pour some and drink it like a shot (which is what a person is doing if they eat Vegemite off a spoon or spread it on thick like peanut butter)

If the sandwich is a salad/meat &salad type after the butter, we might add salt (pepper for those who like that stuff) pickles(corn beef, cheese, spreadable pickle) mustard, mayo etc.

On an egg and lettuce sandwich often curry and some mayo is used, but many people would still lightly butter the bread.

Peanut butter sandwich here tends to be peanut butter and honey, not jam. often times toasted rather than plain.

Then of course fairy bread which is an Aussie favourite-and one I would love to see in sims 2. White cheap bread, butter and hundreds and thousands sprinkled over it. Children's party classic.

That seems odd to me, because bread is already moist enough for my tastes, especially if you're going to add other moist things, like mayo or mustard, but it's all going to be in what you're brought up with. We do peanut butter and honey here too, although peanut butter and jelly, or sometimes jam, is definitely the most popular. Fairy bread is cute, but I can't imagine eating it as an adult because it'd be too sweet. We do have really sweet sandwiches here too, like Fluff sandwiches, which is a marshmallow spread.

Well our foods here have a lot less sugar than America. One thing I see often said by American's visiting here is how light our food is. Portions are smaller with less sugar and when there is sugar used it's usually cane sugar, not corn syrup.

Butter also insulates the sandwich because it's fat so it helps stop the sandwich going soggy from things like mayo which are runny.

I've never seen or heard of Fluff or marshmallow spread, but it sounds good.

Isn't Skippy a cornflakes brand? With a kangaroo on the front.

I looked it up, apparently, it's only available at Costco over here, didn't even know that was here. Why would a US company call itself Skippy? Is slightly annoyed, skippy is a kangaroo and a famous one at that.

The kangaroo isn't famous here. Our Skippy was named in the 1930s after a comic book character who was popular at the time. I think the world is big enough for the two of them. Not to mention all the real life people who are known as Skip, although I'm not sure how much of a thing that is overseas.

"Left Suburb" set by Kativip, but I couldn't find it on Kativip's own website. Medieval? butcher shop stuff - includes dried meat and hanging carcasses (beef? pig?).

More parts of the "Left Suburb" set. One image says this set is converted from "Witcher."
